I would like to ask if anyone knows how to disable the in-app notifications from Intercom. Currently, they are causing us some issues. Just to clarify, I'm not referring to disabling push notifications, as those are working fine. I'm specifically talking about the notifications that appear within our app once it's opened, such as when a user receives a new message from our customer support center.
You can achieve this on your “outbound” in-app messages (Chats and Posts) by choosing “sent as badge”. In this way, the end user will only see a small badge icon, which indicates they have an unread message, and not going to see the message in a notification.
That said, this option currently doesn’t exist for conversation messages (e.g. when the end user receives a message within a conversation from your teammates). At the moment, there is no option to disable this for conversations. This can be a great idea to share in our ideas exchange page. 😊
