Entra and SAML SSO Configuration Issues

Having recently being tasked with configuring SAML SSO in Entra for Intercom I am unable to “apply” the settings I have configured.

I have Verified the required Domain

I have assigned Users to the SSO Group within Entra

Initial testing works fine and I am able to log in using SSO

When I try to hit “Save” in the Intercom application, I am receiving the following notification

Test SAML SSO configuration

To ensure SAML SSO is set up correctly, you must test the configuration by authenticating with your identity provider

I click on the Authenticate option, get directed to Intercom, and no SSO Settings are saved or updated.

Hello Ian, Diogo from Nortrez here,

To save your SAML SSO settings in Intercom, you need to follow these steps:
Configure your identity provider with the necessary Intercom SAML details.
Enter the required information from your identity provider in Intercom's SAML settings.
Specify and verify the allowed domains for SAML SSO authentication.
Test the configuration by authenticating with your identity provider.
Save your settings after successful authentication.
If you're unable to save after authenticating, double-check that you've completed all steps, especially domain verification. Make sure you've added the required TXT record to your DNS settings and verified it in Intercom. If the problem persists, perhaps you should contact Intercom support, they respond very quickly

I hope this helps you 😁
