Messenger on localhost for dev app

#1

I’m having trouble setting up the messenger for localhost for the dev app environment in which I’m developing the messenger app. How can I achieve this.

It gives me an error:

frame.c545ece0.js:1 Uncaught (in promise) Error: Minified React error #130; visit http://facebook.github.io/react/docs/error-decoder.html?invariant=130&args[]=object&args[]=%20Check%20the%20render%20method%20of%20`Connect(Component)`. for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings.

Is it because the app is not published?

Because when I do it with the main app. It works. But not with the development app.
Could you please help me resolve this. As for the initialize flow, I need the messenger on my localhost so that the flow for the visitor/user can be completed.

Hi @nemesh – that error doesn’t look like it’s specific to Intercom but I might be wrong.

Can you please describe your development environment some? Are you using ngrok or something similar to tunnel requests from Intercom to your local machine? Anything else you can tell us will help.

Hello jeff,

The error might be due to the development environment of the Intercom Messenger App Settings. As After a few hours of posting the query , it got resolved and the messenger started working in my localhost environment.

I’m just running an angular demo app in my localhost environment by setting up ngintercom.
It worked fine with the main app but gave error with the dev app id.

If anything happens again. I’ll let you know.
