Hi All,

Is there a way to assign in a custom bot an outlook app based on the visitor location.

If a user is from N. America send him outlook app of BDR X

If a user is from APAC send him outlook app of BDR Y

And so on...

Hey @oren, there are two possible solutions to this. The first is to create different Custom Bots that trigger based on the user's location. Effectively, you'd be creating one bot per location.

The second would be to have the customer select their location for themselves in a bot button, then triggering a new path depending on their selection.

Hello Eric,

Thank you for the quick response.

I thought about the first option, I just don't understand how I capture the visitor location.

I know it's stored in under the contact once he is created, but I didn't find a why to filter by it.

Thank you,

The easiest filter to use there is Country

@oren Seconding what @eric f11 said here about Country but it depends on what you mean by location, there are other options you can work with as well and it depends if you are passing info from your own app -- if you are passing custom data you can use that to do the filtering as well.

If you want to go with a continent that option exists -- you just need to look at how those codes are being captured and see if they fit your goals.

See here for Asia for example: AS

Here are a few others this is auto-detected by Intercom, including NA for North America which you referenced in your question. This might be easier than trying to map out all the countries individually if it fits your needs.

Does that help?
