Can I track goals with pixels or s2s/postbacks?

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I want to set a goal for a webinar signup, for example. Is it possible to get a pixel code I can embed on my "thank you" page after signing up so that Intercom can tell how many signed up?

Alternatively, is it possible to do this with a server-side postback?

@user1140 , So If I get it correctly, you have different outbound messages, banners from where customers are getting to the webinar sign-up page and making registration.

In this case, you should use UTM's in the URL to measure success.

More about UTM can be found here.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Best,

Roy

Hi @user1140 ,

Just to make sure that we are on the same page, are you sending outbound messages to users and want to track success?

Or you just want to set a goal and track how many users sign-up?

BTW - Pixel is a Facebook product and has different purposes.

Measuring success for outbound messages / banners / etc.

I.e. if I post about a webinar, I want to know how many people signed up from a certain banner/post/message.

Ideally if I can split test it too, it would be awesome.

That's what I'm doing now.

But I'd like to set it as a goal within intercom. Is that possible?

@user1140 , You can create an event webinar_registration, once the user submits the form trigger event to Intercom.

Then during the creation of outbound messages, define goal:

webinar_Registration

I hope this will be helpful.

Best,

Roy

Thanks @roy s11! Can you clarify about the "once the user submits the form trigger event to Intercom" part? How do I trigger an event to intercom?

thanks
