Sorry for my bad english.

▼Question

If we change the URL (Domain), do we have to create new Intercom account and connect it to new URL (Domain)?

Is there anyway, that we can get inquiries to same account (right now account) ?

If there's way, how to set it up?

▼Background

My company has 2 services and right now those services' URL(Domain) is same.

■ Example

 └ Database URL : https://app.service.com/database

 └ CRM URL : https://app.service.com/crm

We are thinking to change the URL (Domain) of Database. Like, https://db.company.co.jp.

Now we are using one intercom account for Database and CRM, so we can have inquiries to Inbox.

Our customer's using both services, so we don't want to separate the inbox.

Hey @yoshiko! Oséas here from the Customer Support Specialist team 🕵️

Intercom Messenger can be installed on multiple domains at no extra cost. Conversations starting from different domains will still land in the same Intercom workspace. To allow this, use the same app_id in all your Messenger installations. This can be done on as many domains as you need. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much @oseas !

I'm glad that I can use an intercom both domain, which are https://app.service.com/crm and https://db.company.co.jp !!!

Could please take me through the steps on how I can be installed on multiple domains?

No problem at all! Glad to help 😁 Here are a few of the most common ways of installing Intercom, depending on your website:

  1. Standard website with the Messenger for logged out visitors - Installation guide
  2. Standard website with the Messenger only for logged in users - Installation guide
  3. If your website is a Single Page Application - Installation guide
  4. Mobile Apps (iOS & Android) - Installation guide

In order to have all conversations landing in the same workspace, you'll just have to use the same app_id on all your pages/apps.

Thank you so much!!!

I'll try it!
