Sending outbound SMS is not working

My team is having trouble sending out SMS. It would fail with the error message “There was a problem starting this conversation, please try again.” Does anyone know the root-cause and fix? We’ve tried logging on and off, and this is happening more routinely.

I see you are working with one of teammates now, so I’ll leave you in their good hands but I did take a look into your account and I see you haven’t submitted a verification yet.  As of May 15, 2022, any new US toll-free number cannot send SMS messages unless it has been verified. By verifying your number with your carrier, you are less likely to experience carrier filtering because your phone number will have a “verified” tag associated with it.
