Launch a survey based on specific user behavior (mobile)?

Hi,

Is it possible to launch a survey on mobile at a specific step in a user flow, based on their actions? For example, if they open a check-in step but then close it without actually checking in, I’d like to ask them to select a reason why.

Thanks in advance! Alice

Hi @alice010 !

You can send a Survey a number of different ways. If you look in the Survey’s Edit menu in your Intercom workspace you can see ways to share one under the ‘Additional ways to share your Survey’ section. Check out the methods listed under ‘Within your mobile app’.

If you want to send a Survey when a User performs a certain action then you will need to call the appropriate method in your app at that point in time. Your team will need to figure out exactly how you want to track those User actions within your app.

Another way to do this would be to have the Survey send based on an Event trigger in the ‘When to send’ section.

When your User performs an action that you want to send a Survey for, you can trigger an Intercom Event in your app. That Event will, in turn, trigger your Survey.

Let us know if you have any follow-up questions around that!

Thank you! I’ll give this a try.
