I want  Advice on Creating a Friendly Onboarding Experience

Hi everyone,

I am working on creating a smooth onboarding experience for new users of our uipath automation platform & I want some inspiration and best practices.

What are some things you have found  effective in welcoming new users & getting them comfortable with your platform??

Are there any  features or elements you would suggest including in an onboarding flow??

I want to know about how to avoid overwhelming new users with too much information at once.

  • Use 4-5 pointer messages to guide users through the important areas of your product, ensuring they can navigate with ease.
  • Conclude with a post message that has a clear call to action, directing users to their next steps and providing links to further documentation or contact information for support.

Highlight immediate value by showing how the platform solves a problem quickly. Break down information into small, digestible steps to avoid overwhelming new users.  

Include a welcome message with access to resources like tutorials, videos, or a help center. Personalize the onboarding flow based on user roles or goals. Lastly, encourage feedback to refine and improve the experience over time. Friendly design and clear guidance are key!
