Intercom React Native unread message count not updated

Hi,We are developing a React Native app with Intercom integration using the https://www.npmjs.com/package/@intercom/intercom-react-native package. We want to get the unread message count for a user to show a notification when the app is open and the user receives a new Intercom message.We have tried using the addEventListener with IntercomEvents.IntercomUnreadCountDidChange but the passed in callback does not get invoked when new messages are received. We also tried calling the getUnreadConversationCount method and that returns the initial count of messages when our app starts and the user is logged in into Intercom, but subsequent calls always returns the initial value event when new messages are received in Intercom. Calling logout and login again in Intercom and then calling getUnreadConversationCount returns an updated count, so it looks like a bug in your code, or are we doing something wrong on our end?Thank you,Mikael Amborn

Opening React Native app from Intercom push notification presents Intercom chat UI before the app is "ready"

I have a problem where I’m using expo-splash-screen to show a splash screen while I do loading tasks before presenting the application. The problem is that when the app receives a push notification from Intercom and we open the app from that notification Intercom presents the chat UI before the splash screen has been dismissed and the app UI has been shown. I imagine this is happening because `intercom-ios` does the handling of its push notifications internally and has not knowledge of whether the app is “ready” or not. How can we fix this?

UI Issue with Close Button in Intercom SDK on Android 15

We are currently working on our upcoming release to the Google Play Store, ensuring compatibility with Android 15. As part of this effort, we have recently updated our app to use the latest version of the Intercom SDK (15.9.1).During our testing phase, we encountered an issue specific to devices running Android 15. The problem pertains to the UI when attaching a video or image in the Intercom messenger.The "X" close button overlaps with the status bar, making it difficult to close the attachment preview.This behavior is observed only on Android 15 and seems related to the new edge-to-edge enforcement introduced in this version of Android.Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:1. Open the Intercom messenger in our app.2. Click on the attachment icon and choose Gallery.3. Select an image or video.4. User custom attributes with @intercom/messenger-js-sdk

I am using the @intercom/messenger-js-sdk SDK.It successfully records new users.The problem is that I cannot find how to set custom attributes for that user. Android Intercom Push Notification handling issue

I'm having trouble with handling push notifications from Intercom. [Android] Crash from release 15.8.0

Expo 50 With Official Plugin Realtime Chat Not Working

Hi there,I've just installed the latest version of the Expo plugin (6.8.1). Everything is mostly working, but there are some issues. I've noticed problems with push notifications, and I'm unsure if they are related to the following:1. We're unable to retrieve the unread message count correctly. The listener isn't working, and even when the app is open, new messages aren't being fetched.2. In chat, replies from an "agent" aren't showing up in real-time. To see new messages, we have to close and reopen the conversation, which disrupts the chat experience.Any advice on these issues would be appreciated.Thank you

Deadlock when unit testing on iOS

When running unit tests in Xcode Cloud we often get a test failure because the tests failed to start. In those cases we get a spindump indicating that there is a deadlock caused by something Intercom does as a result of [UIBarAppearance init] being called. Anyone seen something similar? It seems to be related to a global initializer so just linking against Intercom will cause the problem.  Just to be sure I’ve changed our code to not call any Intercom methods when running as part of XCTests but it appears to still be happening.

Intercom working fine on Xcode Simulator builds but not loading on simulator

Edit: Title should be “Intercom working fine on Xcode Simulator builds but not loading on testflight builds” but I can't edit it or delete this.I have added the camera privacy reason. Yet on TestFlight builds Intercom does not load. I am wondering if the SDKs access to a certain URL is being blocked because it needs to be manually allowlisted somewhere in the privacy configuration? But not sure on that. Documentation does not say anything about this.Are there other reasons this may happen?

Bug Report: Intercom overrides App tint at the top level of SwiftUI apps

Seems that when installed Intercom overrides the tint color for the whole app. There are ways around that of course but this is likely causing unexpected repercussions for SwiftUI apps using tints.

Hi!We’re experiencing a non negligible amount of crashes with our iOS app. We’re using the Intercom iOS SDK v18.2.0 (AKA the latest). Crash on launch for users on iOS 15.8

Hi!We’re using the Intercom SDK on our iOS app, currently using version 18.1.0. We’ve been getting a lot of crash reports and it seems to mostly happen to users on iOS 15.8, looking into it we found a stack trace that points to swizzling done by the Intercom SDK: Any ideas on how to fix this?

Issue with Opening Intercom Chat via Push Notification on iOS (React Native)

I recently updated my intercom version from v15.10.0 to v15.11.2 because my app started to crash whenever a user tries to type a message. SwiftUI application using Intercom SDK cause slow launch time

We’re experiencing a slow launch time in our SwiftUI app, about 35% of the slow launch time is caused by Intercom initialization.  The stack trace indicates that multiple functions within the Intercom SDK, especially the initialization processes involving IMCCrashHandler, IMCConfig, HomeConfig, and HomeHeader, are contributing significantly to app launch latency. The UIKitCore and CoreImage components (like UIGraphicsImageRenderer and CIImage) invoked through ICAssets.backgroundImageViewWith also add processing overhead, which may impact the performance during launch.Here is the full stack trace given by XCodes tools:dyld start1. [iOS] Video capture is not available since Intercom iOS SDK 17.2.0

Hello,I faced with unexpected experience when I cannot to capture video in Intercom messenger using iOS SDK since 17.2.0. Could you please help me to resolve this issue?My steps:Update iOS SDK to 18.2.0. Run the app, check that there is Intercom’s warning “Add NSMicrophoneUsageDescription...”  in Xcode console. Add NSMicrophoneUsageDescription to Info.plist according to Installation guide, step 2.  Run the app again, check the message is not printed. Open Intercom messenger, start a new conversation. Press a green plus icon. It opens an action sheet, choose Camera. The app asks only for camera permission, not microphone. Allow camera usage. Camera opens → only photo capturing is available, not video. Change SDK version to 17.1.2.  Run the app, repeat step 5, press a grey camera icon.  The app asks for microphone permission. Allow it.
