React Native Android build failed. RN 0.72.14 intercom 7.1.3

Content could not be loaded

We have recently implemented the SDK in our iOS app. Everything works fine but some users report that content can not be loaded? Not sure what is causing this?

Can you change the Data Hosting Region Configuration at runtime (mobile SDK)?

Is it possible to change the Data Hosting Region Configuration at runtime? We’re using native Android and iOS apps. The documentation says we need to set the region in the AndroidManifest or the plist (iOS). But we have US and AU customers. Attempting to just change the app ID and API key grabs most of the helpful stuff (I can see the icon color changing for example...) but when opened, the Intercom app just says “Something’s gone wrong.”Are mobile apps able to support multiple regions with Intercom?

When will the Android SDK upgrade to Compose 1.7.0?

Release Date: 18-08-2024 🚀 Enhancements Updated to support iOS 18 and Swift 6 concurrency for all public interface types. The sections model has been previously deprecated in the Help Center API. It has now been removed. Any uses of sections should now be replaced with collections.

React Native + Expo: Push notification deep links do not open correct link

Hi! We’re are currently setting up Intercom in our React native + Expo application. Everything regarding push notifications is working. We can receive push notifications on both android and iOS platforms. Is it possible to send silent push notifications with Intercom?

Hello!We are using push notifications with Intercom to notify users of important events in our app.We’d like to know if Intercom supports silent push notifications for iOS & Android i.e. push notifications that we send to our apps that do not display any alerts/sounds, but are just used from our apps, to do actions such as reloading UI elements.Thank you.

Will Intercom support Catalyst apps on macOS?

Any word on when you'll support Catalyst apps on macOS? We've been using Intercom on our mobile app, and would love to use Carousels in the Mac App as well.

Survey Triggered by Event Issue with ProGuard - Android SDK v15.1.0

Hello, I am an Android Kotlin developer, and I am using your SDK's automatic survey feature, which is triggered by an event. Everything is working fine when I test it in my environment because minify and shrink are disabled. However, when I generate a release version where this scenario changes (minify and shrink are enabled), the survey stops working.I am using the ProGuard configuration provided in your GitHub documentation, as well as the ProGuards for OkHttp, Okio, and Retrofit (these last ones have been working in production for a long time in the code, it's not something recent, only Intercom is). Could you please assist me with this issue?Intercom SDK: 15.1.0 (Without push messaging)Compile SDK: 33Min SDK: 21Target SDK: 33Our logging is not throwing any type of errors.

iOS SDK universal link keeps opening Safari

In our app we are sending Intercom Posts with universal links in them and opening a link from a post within the app does both - triggers the deeplink action and also opens Safari. In our AppDelegate we return true from application:continueUserActivity:restorationHandler: and even when we completely remove all deeplink related logic and the method contains nothing but return true it still opens Safari, this behavior contradicts to what's written here. We have IntercomUniversalLinkDomains configured in the Info.plist file. Expected behavior: Do not open Safari when a url is matched with an entry from IntercomUniversalLinkDomains  and application:continueUserActivity:restorationHandler: returns true.iOS SDK version 16.2.3

Does Intercom SDK on Android use the PhotoPicker API for the image attachments feature?

We’re using Intercom Android SDK 15.1.3. We use the Intercom.client().present() API to show the help center in our app.Our app currently requires READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission and the only reason for this permission is for Intercom’s image attachments feature.From Android documentation, on API 33, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is replaced with more granular permissions like READ_MEDIA_IMAGES etc. However, it also states that you can use the PhotoPicker to get the same behaviour without any permissions; and with the jetpack library PhotoPicker is available all the way back to API 19.My question is: Does Intercom Android SDK use PhotoPicker? What about on pre-API 33?The only reference to this I see is in the changlog for Intercom Android SDK v12.5.3 but it is not clear what that means for an app that integrates this SDK.

App crash on selecting image attachment from user gallery on Android

Hello, the Compose version of my Android project is “1.4.1” and the intercom sdk version is “15.10.2”.The issue I am having is that the app crashes when I select an image from the user’s gallery.

I want to report an issue we have encountered with the Intercom SDK on Android. Error when opening article's on React Native Android

Hi,We are getting the following bug on React-Native Android, which is causing Play Store to reject our appBug: - React Native SDK 7.1.3- We open an article by using the method "Intercom.presentContent(IntercomContent.articleWithArticleId(9305883)) "- When the article we just get a screen that says "Something went wrong" (screenshot below)- FYI this works on iOS

[iOS Native] When App is closed and push notification is clicked, the chat/post does not open in the app.

We are facing following issue in our iOS Native app:When the app is closed and the user clicks on the Intercom’s Push Notification, the app opens up but the chat/post opens momentarily and closes. This only happens when the app is closed and notification is clicked, it works fine if the app is in the background/active state.In our case when the app is opened via Push Notification in the app's closed state, main view get refreshed after data fetching.I have done all the Push Notification configuration as per the doc: https://developers.intercom.com/installing-intercom/ios/push-notificationsWe are using iOS SDK Intercom version: 17.1.2 Similar kind of issue was resolved by our Android Team by using Intercom.client().handlePushMessage() . However, such a method does not exist in the iOS Intercom SDK.

Intercom changing SwiftUI app's accent color?

I am working on a SwiftUI iOS app.  Building with the latest SDK (Xcode 15.4) to run on iOS 16 and above. We set our App’s accent color using the Global Accent Color Name build setting.  As soon as I include the Intercom Package via SPM our accent color is changed to the default blue.  Why is Intercom changing the accent color?

Android app crashes when setting up Intercom React Native

Compose Semantics for Android UI tests

Hi.I’m trying to write Android UI tests on the app with Intercom integrated.I’d like to check that Intercom main screen is opened after some actions made in our UI.However I’ve discovered, that Intercom uses Compose, that’s why usual techniques to find views ids are not working.Could you suggest if any semantics were used in your Compose code or how can I find any stable identifiers to check them in my tests?
