Hello, I’m experiencing a problem where the Intercom chat does not open when a user taps on a push notification on iOS. I have implemented the Intercom React Native plugin as per the documentation, and the messaging functionality works perfectly. We are using the Intercom React Native Plugin in our Expo project. We integrate Intercom using the @intercom/intercom-react-native plugin.Below are our project dependency versions: "expo": "~54.0.20" "react-native": "0.81.5" "@intercom/intercom-react-native": "^9.6.1" We are facing an issue where it is not possible to disable push notifications once a device push token has been registered.The SDK provides the method:Intercom.sendTokenToIntercom(token: string)to register a device token. However: Even if we pass an invalid or random string to this method, the user continues to receive push notifications. Hello community,I'm experiencing an issue when trying to update the phone field in the user profile using the React Native SDK from Intercom.When I send the user data through the SDK method, all other fields are updated correctly, except for the phone field, which remains empty and is not saved.I have reviewed the documentation and understand that the phone number must be in E.164 format, and I am sending it in the correct format. However, the field still does not update.To rule out implementation errors, I tested the same update using the Intercom REST API, and in that case, the phone field is updated correctly using the exact same data.However, when I attempt to update the phone field using the React Native SDK, the value is not saved at all.Has anyone experienced this behavior or knows if I might be miss

There has a crash happened when opening preview for an uploading file in conversation, this only happened on vivo V1963A.  I'm using the latest version 17.4.2, and the crash still occurs. This was the crash: java.lang.RuntimeException: Failure delivering result ResultInfo{who=null, request=xxx, result=-1, data=Intent { (has extras) }} to activity {xxx/io.intercom.android.sdk.m5.IntercomRootActivity}: android.database.CursorIndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 0 requested, with a size of 0 The crash only happened on vivo V1963A with a specific path. Open the directory from the top left, select file manager, then documents, and then select any file, the crash will then occur. Thank you

I’m seeing an issue with a “blur” overlay being left on top of the conversation window when Intercom loads after calling [Intercom presentMessageComposer:NULL] or [Intercom presentMessageComposer:@”text”]This only happens when building on XCode and only when running on iOS 26. Any other combination (e.g. XCode 16 on iOS 26 or XCode 26 on an older iOS version) worksFeels like a race condition in the loading logic perhaps? But hard to investigate as it’s closed source.This happens on intercom-ios versions 16.6.2, 19.4.1 and several in betweenDoes anyone have any information or a workaround?

All of sudden today our native Android crash started crashing whenever a user tried to access Intercom. This was the crash:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException - org.msgpack.core.buffer.MessageBufferUThe crash only happened with builds obfuscated by ProGuard. Hi,I’ve found an issue with the in-app message preview on Android where the actual message content is not visible, I assume because the text color matches the background color.You can see this issue replicated in your expo-example app from https://github.com/intercom/intercom-react-native/tree/main/examples/expo-example in the screenshot below.I can’t find anything obvious on the Native Android app settings that is causing this issue, so perhaps there is a styling issue in the Intercom SDK?Thanks for your help

Hi there! We’ve recently recieved reports from our support team that carousels aren’t displaying within the app. In our android code, we initialize intercom, and then if we are authenticated, we call loginIdentifiedUser after. This logic has been unchagned for a while and had worked for well over a year. Through debugging we have found that adding an artifical delay (9 seconds) between initialize and loginIdentifiedUser results in the carousesl to show again. Without the delay, login completes successfully (the callback returns a success), but the carousels don’t show.Is this expected behavior, or something on our end? Guidance would be greatly appreciated here  We’re using version 17.4.0 of intercom. 

We are using @intercom/intercom-react-native v9.4.0 with Expo.When we send mobile push notifications, we can track:    •    How many users received the push    •    Which users opened it (tap on the push)  However, we also use POST messages, and inside those POST we include deeplinks to redirect users to specific screens in the app.Here’s the issue:    •    We can track how many users opened the POST message    •    But we cannot track link interactions inside the POST    •    The “Clicked” metric is always empty, even when users tap the deeplinkIs there any workaround or recommended approach to track when users tap deeplinks or links inside POST messages?

Partial Language Update via updateUser Issue: When calling Intercom.updateUser({ languageOverride: Language }) to switch the UI language, the change is inconsistent. We’re presenting Intercom articles with Intercom.presentContent(content) . Everything was working well in version 8.8.0 but after bumping to 9.x, the close button at the top article header is broken in iOS and doesn’t respond to taps. The only way to close the article is to drag the overlay down (which is something that might not be obvious for every user). It is working correctly on Android.

Hey! I’m facing an issue with intercom-sdk version 17.2.0.The in-app message doesn’t display any message text when it’s a new message in an existing conversation. I’ve attached a Layout Inspector screenshot for more details.Compose version in the app: composeBom = "2025.09.01"  At the same time, if you start a new conversation from the Intercom web interface, the very first message is visible in the app — but from the second message onward, it disappears again.

I am using Intercom.presentMessageComposer(initialMessage) to show Intercom with a pre-filled message in my React Native app like this:await Intercom.presentMessageComposer(‘An initial message.’);I’m using this version: "@intercom/intercom-react-native": "^9.3.2"This launches the Intercom messenger on iOS with pre-filled message.On Android, this launches the Intercom messenger but there’s no pre-filled message. I own an iOS application that supports Teacher - student lessons. So I need a 1:1 chat where the student can be connected directly with the teacher and the teacher will only see their open chats with students that have started conversations with them. I did some quick prototyping on iOS and I see I can pretty easily set it up where the student can open up a global message queue (Messages Space) but how can I limit their scope to a particular conversation? Is that available in the iOS SDK or will I have to reach for some admin routes?
