java.lang.NullPointerException on pause/resume app after receiving a Push Notification with SDK Version 15.+

Hello dear Support Team,after updating the Intercom SDK to version 15.2.0 our app crashing with the next Stacktrace: This happens when our own push notification will be consumed and the application will be send in background. After resuming the app from “recent apps” the crash happens. This behavior is noticed on different android versions from 11 to 14, and with Intercom SDK Versions 15.+, the same happens with 15.5.0.Thanks in advance for support!

Android SDK crashes when opening chat due to animation API change in Compose 1.5

java.lang.ClassCastException: androidx.compose.animation.AnimatedContentTransitionScopeImpl cannot be cast to androidx.compose.animation.AnimatedContentScope at com.google.accompanist.navigation.animation.AnimatedNavHostKt$AnimatedNavHost$7$1.invoke(AnimatedNavHost.kt:198)This is due to Compose animation change in Compose 1.5Instead of using `AnimatedContentScope` Intercom needs to update and use `AnimatedContentTransitionScope`

Open the messenger from an event triggered workflow

I was able to trigger a workflow from my mobile application based on a logEvent that shows in the form of a popup notification to the user. This requires the user to click on that popup, which opens the messenger, then the user can interact with the rest of the workflow. Is it possible to trigger a workflow which shows the message within the Intercom messenger, not within a popup?For example: I have a button in my mobile app. When the user taps that button, I would like to show the messenger with a workflow. Is that possible? If so, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

IOS intercom SDK - In-App Message (small post popup) Text Alignment Inquiry

Hello,We've recently enabled in-app messages using setInAppMessagesVisible in our iOS app. However, we've noticed that messages in English appear to be right-aligned in the small post popup. iOS SDK universal link keeps opening Safari

In our app we are sending Intercom Posts with universal links in them and opening a link from a post within the app does both - triggers the deeplink action and also opens Safari. In our AppDelegate we return true from application:continueUserActivity:restorationHandler: and even when we completely remove all deeplink related logic and the method contains nothing but return true it still opens Safari, this behavior contradicts to what's written here. We have IntercomUniversalLinkDomains configured in the Info.plist file. Expected behavior: Do not open Safari when a url is matched with an entry from IntercomUniversalLinkDomains  and application:continueUserActivity:restorationHandler: returns true.iOS SDK version 16.2.3

How to initialize Intercom thru code in React Native?

Hey there, first I'd like to give a s/o to the creator of the Expo config plugin for Intercom here, and say that this is something the Intercom could pickup as well ;) That said, the way the RN SDK is initialized is thru the native code in both Android and iOS, and unless I am mistaken, there is no way to initialize it from the SDK itself. Would be good to have a way to start it programmatically from the code as right now it is required for us to provide the API keys at build time and this makes it much harder to load those keys dynamically for example at our CI workflows. Since the RN SDK is a wrapper of the native libraries, I could recommend to follow the approach that Segment and Sentry used on their SDKs as those also are wrappers and allow the initialization to be done at run time. Thank you!

How can I get the currently logged in user?

I am using the React Native SDK and I would like to know the userId of the currently logged in user. Use-case: after updating to the latest SDK, loginUserWithUserAttributes throws an exception when the user is already logged in.But I have no way to know if the user is already logged into Intercom (after an app restart for example), and if logged it, if it is logged in using the correct user. I could store this in my app, but this makes the code much more complex. The best solution would be to have an Intercom method to return the currently logged user, if any.

Push notifications received and empty conversation

Hello, The Intercom iOS SDK (16.2.2) is configured and integrated as per the documentation steps. Everything works except the Push Notifications.The push notifications are receiving both within the app and when it’s in background. But once you tap on the notification, you’re presented with an empty Intercom’s conversation modal screen.Tested it on iOS 16 and iOS 17 devices.What could be the reason?

Do I need to call loginIdentifiedUser on every app launch?

Another way of asking this question is: Is the result of loginIdentifiedUser() persisted across app launches and device reboots?My assumption is that I only need to call this method once when my user logs in to my app and I need to call logout() when the user logs out. I don’t need to worry about updating a registration each time the app launches.However, this section in the docs are throwing me off. It asks to call loginIdentifiedUser() twice: Once on successful login (private fun successfulLogin()) and again “anywhere they sign in”. Is this second call supposed to be when we relaunch the app and detect that the user is logged in or not?

Bug: keyboard not being displayed anywhere in the app with intercom version 16.2.2 on iOS 17

I've updated Intercom sdk today to version 16.2.2 and by updating it the keyboard would not be displayed on any textfield in the app regardless if it was intercom messenger or just any field. This happened only on iOS 17. Once I've downgraded to 16.2.1 it has started working again.

Android SDK ANR on initialize

React Native: Error 404 when any kind of login

Intercom causes app to stop responding in React Native iOS

Open the intercom modal → swipe left (the go back gesture) → the app freezes as a result. Intercom Carousel With Two Permission Prompts Not Working As Expected(React Native)

When using two permission prompts in a mobile carousel and the first prompt is accepted the second prompt gets marked as accepted automatically when the user hasn’t accepted it yet.In this example I enabled the notification permissions and the location permissions updated to show it was accepted when I never tapped the `Enable Location` permissions button. Can't dismiss intercom programatically

We use Intercom on our app to send links for users to perform actions, in the form of URL actions, something like bundleID://some/action Some of these actions take the user to other places in the app, so we want to dismiss Intercom. What’s the correct way to do this? There’s no API to dismiss Intercom, and the convoluted presentation mode (creating an ICMWindow on top of all the other windows) make it super awkward.

[iOS] App crashes when user presses & holds a message

Our React Native app is crashing when users press and hold on any message visible on the chat screen. So far we have only had reports from iOS 17+.We are using this  package.React Native version: 0.72.5intercom-react-native : 5.3.1 Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help.

Bug: Weird layout on iPad since 15.2

I  am trying to update Intercom from 15.0.3 to 15.2.3 but I have a weird layout when I open the chat window. As you can see, the text field fit the entire screen width. I tried the last version of the SDK but same problem.

Double resolve/reject on react native iOS sendTokenToIntercom

Line 86 of your react native iOS bridge for the Intercom SDK causes a rejection after the resolve has already run, if the app is unable to communicate with Intercom. I think you will either need to add a success handler into the native Intercom SDK, or remove this reject call althogether, as this is almost certainly going to be causing issues for any user of the react-native bridge if the network call fails. https://github.com/intercom/intercom-react-native/blob/main/ios/IntercomModule.m#L86

Hello our monitoring is reporting some crash errors on lastest RN package version 6.0.1:NSInternalInconsistencyException: Attempted to reload item identifier that does not exist in the snapshot: IntercomSDKPrivate.ConversationCollectionViewCellType.message(<ICMConversationPart: 0x10a8747b0>)iOS 16.6.1Will this be fixed in upcoming versions?

Does Intercom support to trigger an event based survey automatically every time events sent in React Native app ?

Hello, we plan to use Intercom survey for our React Native app. We've tried to use the event based survey but we notice that the event based survey cannot be triggered automatically inside the app every time our events sent, instead, it always triggers our surveys when we relaunch the app. We would like to know if Intercom supports this behavior in React Native and how can we achieve it ?We are using:React Native version 0.65.1@intercom/intercom-react-native version 3.0.5Thanks

Why can't a mobile user use their device's camera to take a photo?

Is there a reason why you can't use the camera's phone to take a photo during a conversation? As far as I can tell all you're able to do is to use photos from the camera roll. This seems a strange choice. It seems far more likely that a user would want to illustrate their issue during a conversation, rather than have to exit the app, open the camera, take a photo, then return to the app, open the conversation again and then find the photo in their Camera Roll.

Intercom's UI crash the app when opening a conversation where messages where sent from the API

We found an issue with the React Native SDK where messages sent through the API are crashing Intercom Messenger when opening the conversation.
