With Cloudflare, Intercom may not be able to detect that cookie forwarding is correctly setup. In this case, the warning banner can be ignored in the Intercom configuration. You'll find more on this in this article from our Help Center.

we had previously setup everything via the instructions from the links you posted, but we still had issues. we eventually did solve the issue. we had to do some major code wrangling and we also had to setup a reverse proxy server—but we got it working.
