OAuth app fails to redirect to sign in page

Greetings,I currently have an Intercom app that seamlessly integrates with our system and our customers' accounts. However, I've observed an unusual behavior during the OAuth process when a user attempts to navigate without being logged in. Intercom redirects the user to the sign-in page but returns an "unexpected error" message due to the inclusion of OAuth query parameters.Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a viable solution? I have attached a screenshot illustrating the error for reference.Thank you in advance for any insights or assistance provided.

How to circle back to submit flow after url action in canvas-kit?

Hi, I am build an app for messenger which will direct the user to a new url using url action button in the last step. In this case, I have no way to receive request in my submit flow after redirection. I wonder is anyway to circle back to the submit flow after redirection so that I can reset my canvas-kit UI?

Error 403 Workspace is hosted in a different region

While integrating and testing SDK, I’ve got this error:Error Domain=IntercomSDKErrorDomain Code=403 "ERROR - [HTTP 403] - Your workspace is hosted in Europe but you connected to United States" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=ERROR - [HTTP 403] - Your workspace is hosted in Europe but you connected to United States}The reason is clear for me but not so clear how to fix it.How exactly my team can help to resolve this issue?

Jira for Tickets - Issues created from Workflows Not being Synced

Hello all, Recently I Integrated Jira for Tickets on my Intercom workspace, I had no issues setting up the basics, and toggling on auto-create Jira issues upon Intercom ticket creation. However, the data being sent to the Jira Issue when dealing with tickets that carry additional custom attributes in them is limited. I was planning on creating workarounds, such as noting down the ticket details in the conversation upon ticket creation, so that the details could reflect in the Jira Issue comments, however upon building that workflow I found the workflow templates, which indicate that I could in fact include all the extra details in my Jira Issues.After a dozen or so attempts, I found that the workflow method would create the Jira Issues successfully ( including all the data I wanted transferred ), however I was never able to get those tickets / issues created with this method to link automatically. As the ticket and issue would both be created, but there was no automatic sync between th

Why don't Facebook conversations appear in Inbox searches?

We have our Facebook messages linked to our Intercom inbox so the team can answer customer queries from Intercom. Sometimes I need to check between a Facebook conversation on Meta Business Suite and on Intercom, to see who answered the query. But if I search the customer’s name in Inbox Search, they never show. You can search for the customer in Contacts and get to the conversation that way, but it seems odd for the conversation not to appear when searching the Inbox. Why is this the case?

Please provide an API to check logged in user

This was requested multiple times here , but the topic was closed without a useful response.In previous versions of the Intercom SDKs, logging in and out was idempotent: if we called login more than once with the same user ID (or log out more than once), it wouldn’t give any error. That’s no longer the case on the latest versions, and this presents a problem. The SDK persists the user’s login state between launches but doesn’t expose its user state, so the only way an app can avoid calling login with the same user details the next time the app runs (which would cause the SDK to throw an error), is by also persisting the user log in state via its own method, in hope of remaining in sync with the SDK’s login state. However, this is problematic: state persistence is error-prone, and if an error occurs with either the app’s or the SDK’s persistence, the two can get out of sync, and the SDK will throw an error and leave the app in an inconsistent state.There are two options for the SDK to e

Is it possible to only turn on the ability to view HubSpot information in Inbox without syncing data?

Hey all!New to Intercom as a whole but well versed with HubSpot.We currently have the Hubspot-Marketplace sync turned on which is syncing our contact data from Intercom to HubSpot, but one thing we don’t want are the Intercom Conversations in HubSpot.  What I’m trying to discern is if the ability to only turn on the HubSpot Inbox view is able to be separated from the data sync portion of the App/Integration?Basically we want our CS team to be able to see who the current Owner is of the HubSpot deal

How to make input required before action component in canvas-kit

I am building a custom app in messenger home. It will open a form asking user input and submit. I wonder if there is any built-in method to make interaction component required (input, text area, select etc) before the user hit action component (button).Also, my app will stay at the submit flow after the user interaction. Is anyway I can reset the UI back to initialize flow?

Bugs with Jira for Tickets using Workflows

I am trying to add some additional fields to the Jira tickets when they are created. Bug #1:The additional fields do not show up on the Jira side unless I specify “Bug” as the “Issue Type” field of the workflow. However when I do specify the “Bug” type I get 2 different Jira issues created. One Jira issue contains the additional fields and one does not.     Bug #2:Also, as a side note I’ve re-installed the “Jira for Tickets” app a few times trying to get the above to work correctly and now I see multiple copies of the Jira actions in the workflow template.

WhatsApp integration, if already using the API

We’re looking forward to implementing WhatsApp for Intercom, considering the documentation on integrating the WhatsApp App with Intercom we have some concerns, we hope people who have already done this integration may be able to answer.We’re currently using the WhatsApp API for custom marketing messaging and authentication, it simple, it only redirect the user to our App, however we would like a way to see if the user reply, and if so, for our customer service team to continue the conversation, note that there’s no third party manager of the account, we call the API ourselves, the WABA is hosted on Meta directly, we hope that can be achieved through this integration, so in concrete these are our concerns:If we integrate WhatsApp, we’ll lose access to manually call the WhatsApp API for authentication OTP and marketing messages? Can the API still create new conversations with new users? Can the integration at Intercom see those message, so the Customer Support team see the entire convers

Intercom + Memberspace = Community

I'm trying to understand if I can integrate Intercom and Memberspace. I want to create exclusive content only available to members (free and paid) like blogs (substack.com) interviews, webinars and so on... I want to use Intercom logged users features with memberspace.  Am i being mental or i’m going somewhere? Because I don’t have an app per-se so I was thinking in using memberspace.

How to open workflow whit api service

Hi, I would like to know if there is within your api services which allows to open a workflow after a click event. We need to be able to open a workflow after a click without the need to make the connection with Customer clicks to website element and open a new conversation. New Reference attribute in Conversation not showing on workflow

I’ve added a new attribute to my Conversation object. The attribute is a Reference to a Custom Object. I have a workflow, and I’m trying to branch off a value in the Custom Object, but the newly added reference in the Conversation is not showing up. I have a Custom Action that’s populating the Custom Object and mapping the reference in the Conversation to the new object. Any clue what could be going on? Do new attributes take a long time to propagate to workflows?

Hubspot Custom Action Line Break Formatting For conversation.Transcript

I have a custom action for creating hubspot tickets and today the formatting for `conversation.Transcript` has changed in the way it encodes line breaks. In case we have a custom launcher on a web app or site, will this https://developer.chrome.com/en/docs/privacy-sandbox/third-party-cookie-phase-out/ (From January Chrome will stop supporting third-party cookies) affect the proper functioning of the launcher and the utilization of the chat box?Thank you!

Salesforce Account to Intercom Companies Mapped Attributes - some, but not all, of the data is missing

Have mapped SF account attributes to Intercom companies.  Most of the data is pulling over just fine (hooray!).  But there are some instances where some, but not all, of a companies attributes aren’t pulling over even though they exist in SF.  I have been spot checking and don’t see a pattern or commonality in the instances.  Just kind of random.  Anyone else seen this?  Any tips on how to handle?  Thanks!

Microsoft Teams connectivity

Hello, I vaguely remember an Intercom connector being available for Microsoft Teams, but this no longer seems to be case. Jira for tickets - Integration with request types

I want to integrate Intercom ticket types to the Jira request types but I can’t find the option like this. The only option to match the issues is to connect intercom’s ticket type with the Jira Issue type. However, in my Jira space I have several request types under the Incident issue and if there is no option to match them with the Intercom tickets then this integration appears to be useless :(  For more reference I’m attaching the screenshots.

Custom Action is automatically inserting escape characters into request body and causing request to fail

I’m attempting to create a custom action that sends a POST request to Shortcut API.  The request succeeds when I test it in Postman or other testing tools; however, when I try to test the request in Intercom’s Custom Action building tool, Intercom arbitrarily inserts escape characters into the JSON in the Request Body, which causes the Shortcut API to return a code 400 Bad Request. Here’s a comparison of the Intercom and Postman consoles (Intercom on the left, Postman on the right).  Notice that Intercom has added escape characters to the body.  I’ve already confirmed that the error is caused by Intercom inserting those escape characters. Is there any way to force Intercom to send the request as-is?  It makes no sense that it would alter a Request Body...those should ALWAYS be sent as-is. Here’s a zoom recording showing the issue, if that helps:  https://us02web.zoom.us/rec/share/C1W_oCh039rZ4cvJOi639opBCb2-kocdh16CjsHyILJrqE-gUKno1holp0EI_4rk.7_lD0QAgj0pYeCkQ?startTime=1697468415000

How to keep messenger launcher hidden using userflow live-chat provider

Hello team,I'm creating an application that uses the integrated Intercom messenger app triggered by Userflow resource center. so, from an option in the Userflow resource center, I want to open the Intercom messenger.This works smoothly, however, I'm implementing a custom launcher, and even following the documentation's recommendations and keeping the attribute hide_default_launcher: true, every time Userflow opens the Intercom messenger, it automatically shows the launcher, as if Userflow overwrites this property, even adding an Intercom('onShow') event and forcing the update of the hide_default_launcher attribute to true, the launcher continues to be displayed.Where could the error be? Is this really possible ?
