Hi, im trying to send a message when a client does not answer to a bot. I´m sending a few options in buttons when the conversation starts, and I would like for the bot to identify if the customer hasn´t responded in 30 minutes and send them a “Are you still there?” message, then wait other 30 minutes and close the conversation if there still hasn´t been answered. Is something like this possible? Fin tells me you can´t send automatic messages if the client hasn´t responded to a conversation with the bot.

Hi,I am trying to use Custom Objects to show the orders of a users that message us, either through email or whatsapp. I created the custom object Order with the relevant attributes. I then created an external reference in People and Conversations, referencing Order via a one to many relationship. Then I created a webhook that triggers when a conversation is created or a reply is given. We are new integrating Intercom with our systems. Right now having problems with location object... Where can i get some list of valid (countries, regions, cities) in order to map correcctly?

Today we noticed an issue with Fin failing to respond to tickets. There have been no changes to the workflow but for whatever reason it just hasn’t responded to queries. We noticed the increase in FRT and drop in involvement but looking back we are almost certain this has happened before. It appears to be intermittent and no real obvious answer but curious if anyone else has experienced this and how you resolved. 

We’re looking for a way to mass import our knowledge base articles from Zoho Desk into Intercom. What’s the best way to accomplish this? 

Hello everyone, I encountered a strange issue while testing user flows for a mobile video editor, similar to the capcut apk tools I've been using. sometimes it takes a long time for the Intercom widget to appear when the app loads larger media files, or it appears after everything else has finished loading.Has anyone else observed that Intercom behaves strangely when handling large files or a lot of ui changes? Is there a better way to queue events to ensure smooth operation, or do you think this is just a performance hiccup? I'd be interested in learning how others have dealt with it.

Hi Support,We are investigating an issue with our Salesforce integration where data is not persisting for new users, specifically regarding a race condition between the Salesforce Sync and the JS SDK boot method.Our Setup: Integration: Official Salesforce App. Matching Logic: We currently match on Email. User Creation: Users are created via the JS SDK (Intercom('boot')) when they first log into our portal. The Scenario: Time T1: A Contact is updated in Salesforce. A mapped custom field (salesforce_resource_access) is populated. Time T1 + 5 min: The Salesforce Integration triggers a sync. Note: At this moment, no User exists in Intercom with this email address. Time T2 (Days later): The user logs into our web portal. Time T2 + 1 sec: We call Intercom('boot', { email: ... }). The user is created in Intercom. The Issue:When the user is created via the JS SDK at Time T2, the salesforce_resource_access field is blank. The data synced at Time T1 is lost.Our Questions: "Create N

Issues:Once you add a content to a missing one and create either a snippet or article from it- you can never go back or see an audit trail of what you have actually done.    There is no list anywhere where you can see which content gaps you have actually optimized. We would like to store them somewhere which them might be helpful for configuting another area   Once you add the content and hit save, it opens the next suggestion instead of taking you back to the Optimize page, this is quite confusing and unrelated from what you were doing.    No export buttons anywhere   There is a table where they give percentages of conversations, but you can not click open any of these to see where they are stemming from- again, also no export option located.   ​​​​​​​ 

We’re Intercom customers and we need to build a variation of the checklist on our own page, not inside the Messenger widget. I assumed the most obvious solution would be to consume an API that returns these checklists, similar to how it works with articles. Do we have anything like that? I couldn’t find it in the documentation.This is very important for us!

We are experiencing an issue with the Intercom Android Mobile SDK. The issue is that the in-app message notifications appear underneath the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, as opposed to sitting directly above the navigation icons.Our app currently uses the SDK version 17.1.1 – however we have been able to reproduce the issue even on the latest version of the SDK (17.3.0). The release notes for 17.2.0 indicate the issue was resolved.  Upon further investigation, it appears the issue stems from the fact our app still uses AppCompatActivity as our base Activity, instead of ComponentActivity which is what the sample app uses. I tested this theory but switching the ComponentActivity to an AppCompatActivity in the sample app and the bug was surfaced there as well. As it would not be trivial for us to switch our base Activity to ComponentActivity, I'm wondering if there are any further solutions currently being worked on for the next release of the Intercom SDK that would resolve

Hey Community,we have issues setting up Intercom AI so it solves different Topic automatically. Can you help us?For some reason FIN suddenly and randomly answers with wrong answers.We tried everything (with and without guidance,...) All the Content stayed the same and in the past FIN was super helpful. We are looking for an expert to help us automate different Topics in our Customer Support.Thank you in advance!

Hi all, I am working on a feature attempting to automate the creation of few contacts in our workspace by hitting the post endpoint for `{intercom_api_url}/contacts`.My current data body looks like:{ email: providerData.providerEmail, name: providerData.providerName, phone: providerData.providerPhoneNumber, // These custom attributes throw an error in intercom when added. custom_attributes: { Is_provider: true, // provider_start_date: new Date().toDateString(), }, }Although the Is_provider custom attribute exists in the test workspace, my call keeps throwing me a 400 error with Bad Request.Please help with understanding why this is happening and if possible a potential fix. This would allow us to onboard a lot more contacts very quickly.

Is there a way to log an activity labeled Intercom Ticket with the details - similar to that of the current Intercom Conversation event.  Currently we can see any/all activity by KNOWN contacts, which is what we were hoping to see for the tickets -named differently of course and would allow us to build workflows based on these activity events in HUBSPOT. This would allow transparency across the business to see these insights without creating duplicate tickets, which I do see can actually be done based on this article in the community if there are specific workflows and teams that would be working in HubSpot vs. Intercom.  However for our business, we were planning to have all support/service and escalation processes handled via Intercom.  Is this something that can be done, if so how and what is the best practice here?

I am currently setting up the Fin AI Agent. I have a question regarding the "Talk to a human" flow.When a user triggers the handoff to a human agent, how are the notifications handled for the assignee (or the team inbox)? Does the assignee receive an immediate email notification? Is it purely an in-app notification/browser push? I want to ensure that when the AI hands the conversation over, our support team is alerted immediately, even if they aren't staring at the Intercom dashboard.Thanks in advance!

I have converted my Conversation attributes for issue types to Fin attributes using the UI workflow. I have an “Other” attribute set with the exact wording that Intercom fin suggested in case it couldn’t detect any of the others from my descriptions. I have them enabled for all audiences. I have a very simple workflow that starts with a user typing and branches to Fin answering. The audience is ‘custom → logged in users’. → What brings you here today? Let customer type → Let Fin handle → If escalated show reply time. When I send fin a message it finds the correct articles and guidance, but there’s no indication it’s detecting any of my attributes as the conversation log does not show the event and the attribute is not set on the conversation details panel. I turned on Urgency attributes to see if it would detect those as a test and it is not detecting them until the ticket is closed, which I think defeats the purpose. But at least I can see a log of when it detects it and it’s setting

Hi there! I’m trying to test a use case, but no luck so far, so I wanted o see if any of you tried something similar. Use case: I need Fin to override the user’s initial inquiry IF Fin detects a Health check issue on the user’s account. I have the data connector set up, and I added a When/If/then guidance. So far, this guidance is only triggered if the user asks a direct question about their account health status. Here’s a screenshot of the rule:  

Hi,I’ve found an issue with the in-app message preview on Android where the actual message content is not visible, I assume because the text color matches the background color.You can see this issue replicated in your expo-example app from https://github.com/intercom/intercom-react-native/tree/main/examples/expo-example in the screenshot below.I can’t find anything obvious on the Native Android app settings that is causing this issue, so perhaps there is a styling issue in the Intercom SDK?Thanks for your help  

Hey! I’m facing an issue with intercom-sdk version 17.2.0.The in-app message doesn’t display any message text when it’s a new message in an existing conversation. I’ve attached a Layout Inspector screenshot for more details.Compose version in the app: composeBom = "2025.09.01"  At the same time, if you start a new conversation from the Intercom web interface, the very first message is visible in the app — but from the second message onward, it disappears again.

I am using Intercom.presentMessageComposer(initialMessage) to show Intercom with a pre-filled message in my React Native app like this:await Intercom.presentMessageComposer(‘An initial message.’);I’m using this version: "@intercom/intercom-react-native": "^9.3.2"This launches the Intercom messenger on iOS with pre-filled message.On Android, this launches the Intercom messenger but there’s no pre-filled message. Also the message input is not visible on Android.Is this an expected behavior on Android or is it a bug?

We are experiencing a critical issue with Intercom integration in our web application.After a user logs in without a full page reload, the Intercom widget appears and lists existing conversations. However:- Existing conversations cannot be opened- Creating a new message often fails- Network tab shows intermittent 403 Forbidden errors with the message: “App suspended”- - Specifically on requests to: POST /messenger/web/conversations/:idIf the user reloads the page after login, everything works as expected:- Conversations open normally- New messages are sent successfullyContext:- We are using the react-use-intercom package for frontend integration.- The app performs a soft reboot after login (without reloading the browser tab). Call shutdown and boot with intercomUserJwt then- When I had this issue it was always because the app_id passed was 'undefined'We are unsure whether this issue originates from the `react-use-intercom` package or from Intercom itself.If you have any suggestions on

All of sudden today our native Android crash started crashing whenever a user tried to access Intercom. This was the crash:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException - org.msgpack.core.buffer.MessageBufferUThe crash only happened with builds obfuscated by ProGuard. The crash still happened even after adding the keep rules according to the documentation:-keep class io.intercom.android.** { *; }-keep class com.intercom.** { *; } We solved the crash by adding the following to our proguard-rules.pro file: -keep class org.msgpack.** { *; }I have a couple of questions:Why did the crash start happening all of a sudden? Why is it not mentioned in the documentation that we need to keep org.msgpack classes unobfuscated? How can we be sure to prevent similar crashes from happening ever again? Thank you

Has anyone tried implementing context-sensitive help in your product like how Intercom uses its help articles and customizes the Learn button drop-down?
