I added some custom attributes like lead_id and lead_email.I tried to send those under custom_attributes or directly. Both failed. intercom.boot({ ...additionalSettings, .lead_id: visitorId, lead_email: email,}); intercom.boot({ ...additionalSettings, custom_attributes: {lead_id: visitorId, lead_email: email},});I expect to see those in contact.merged or contact.user.created or contact.user.updated Webhooks but could not.

I’ve noticed FIN closing some conversations because the user didn’t explicitly confirm escalation, even though the conditions for escalation were met. The rules I set were: Escalate if the user shows negative or neutral sentiment. Escalate when the user provides all required information. Escalate when the user requests escalation. The issue is that when a user provides all the information and FIN sends the escalation message “An agent will be with you soon,” it later follows with “Is there anything else I can help you with?”If the user responds with something like “No,” FIN ignores the first escalation message and treats the user’s “No” as a signal to close the chat. Instead of keeping the ticket open for an agent, it ends the conversation.

When fetching conversations via the Conversations API (GET /conversations/{id}), I’ve noticed a difference between WhatsApp images and WhatsApp audio messages. Image messages include full attachments data (URL, content_type, filesize, etc.). Audio messages, however, show attachments: [], even though the Intercom Inbox UI displays an audio clip. The only extra field is external_id with a WhatsApp wamid, but no file URL or metadata. I'm syncing documentation from Notion to Intercom and I’m looking for a better way to handle internal and public articles.Current workflow: All documentation is written in Notion. I use Intercom’s native Notion sync, but it only creates internal articles. I then use Make.com to read those internal articles via Intercom APIs and create/update public articles with the same title and body. I'd like to also copy the tags from the internal articles, but I can't find a way to access them through the API. My questions: Is it possible to retrieve the tags assigned to internal articles via the API or any other method? Is there a better or more official way to convert internal articles into public ones while preserving metadata like tags? Any guidance or recommended approaches would be appreciated!

Has anyone built/use anything that syncs Intercom Notes into Salesforce Chatter? I’m relatively new to this world and wondering if this is possible out of the box or needs custom work.

We have over 5,000 articles in this workspace, and that number continues to grow weekly as we onboard new products.With over 20 writers contributing, a common issue we've encountered is that the Fin Audience defaults to "Everyone". This often causes irrelevant articles to surface when Fin responds to users.From what we’ve found, there currently isn’t a way to filter by articles tagged "Everyone", either in-app or via the API.Questio​@Jordan Everts cc ​@Nathan Sudds 

Is there a way to log an activity labeled Intercom Ticket with the details - similar to that of the current Intercom Conversation event.  Currently we can see any/all activity by KNOWN contacts, which is what we were hoping to see for the tickets -named differently of course and would allow us to build workflows based on these activity events in HUBSPOT. This would allow transparency across the business to see these insights without creating duplicate tickets, which I do see can actually be done based on this article in the community if there are specific workflows and teams that would be working in HubSpot vs. Intercom.  However for our business, we were planning to have all support/service and escalation processes handled via Intercom.  Is this something that can be done, if so how and what is the best practice here?

Hello, I see that there is a Slack Intercom integration available here: https://www.intercom.com/help/en/articles/11534476-connect-your-slack-channelThe issue that I see though that is different from the use case that I am targeting is that Intercom tickets are initially created from Slack and not the other way around. I am trying to make it so that if a conversation/ticket is started in Intercom, it is automatically pinged in Slack. As you converse through Slack, those messages are also sent back and forth through Intercom. So my initial entry point would be Intercom versus Slack. Is there a way to do this?

The conversation history is loaded, once the user opens Intercom.If the user opened the Intercom widget before login (or started a new conversation in ‘visitor’ state), the conversation history is NOT loaded after authentication. To see the conversation history, the entire page must be reloaded.Browser development tools show, that the request to load the conversations is done exactly once, after opening the Intercom widget for the first time, and is not repeated

I would like to connect Intecom to MS co-pilot via an MCP server. MS co-pilot is the only LLM we are allowed to work with at our company. I want to use co-pilot to analyse our conversations and make custom reports I can't make in the reports section. Ive seen the integration → data connector section, but that seems to be the other way around, get data from another system to use in intercom, but I want to use the data in intercom in co-pilot. Anyone can help me here? During the community hour the said this was possible.

In order to better understand how users behave during brief cognitive tasks, I've been testing a few lightweight word-puzzle-style interactions. However, I've noticed something strange: after a few rounds, people start out strong but quickly lose interest. I'm not sure if they're confused by the pacing, the difficulty jump, or a lack of direction.Similar patterns in letter based challenges, where users pause or disengage as the complexity increases, were brought up in a recent conversation. It got me thinking about how much of this is UX flow versus the interaction's fundamental mechanics.Has anyone else seen this type of drop-off in interactive or conversational experiences? I'd be interested in knowing which indicators you use to determine where users become disinterested.

We have users in Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Our office is in Canada and the US. How do you go about setting up numbers for people to call into Intercom. As these countries often require a physical presence to open a phone number.

I have admin(sender) and customer role, the admin can send message to customer from my app-web, my backend service is using the https://api.intercom.io/messages api to create a conversation, After creating a message/conversation, I want the message to be assigned to the admin only if the customer reply, since the admin who initiate the conversation. I tried adding create_conversation_without_contact_reply property, however It doesn’t work because it assign unnecessary conversations to admin(sender) since the customer may not reply. Could I create a workflow related with “When a customer sends their first message” trigger? or how could I solve this issue?

Hi all, I am working on a feature attempting to automate the creation of few contacts in our workspace by hitting the post endpoint for `{intercom_api_url}/contacts`.My current data body looks like:{ email: providerData.providerEmail, name: providerData.providerName, phone: providerData.providerPhoneNumber, // These custom attributes throw an error in intercom when added. custom_attributes: { Is_provider: true, // provider_start_date: new Date().toDateString(), }, }Although the Is_provider custom attribute exists in the test workspace, my call keeps throwing me a 400 error with Bad Request.Please help with understanding why this is happening and if possible a potential fix. This would allow us to onboard a lot more contacts very quickly.

I am using this to validate our internal list of languages we use! But what if Intercom ever adds a new language? Is there an endpoint I could use to fetch the available languages?

Hello. I encountered two issues during implementation in the web app:1. After updating the language via language_override, the intercom language is updated, with the exception of the block for composing a new message (the language changes within this block).To change the language of this block, you need to completely reinitialize the connection via shutdown and boot. This works the same in both demo and user mode.   Also, if we were initialized in our application as a demo user and did an update upon login with user_id, user_hash, and other user data, then the user's message history is not loaded, although his name is displayed and if we write an intercom message, it comes from this user. This can also only be solved by a complete reinitialization via shutdown and boot.
