Ho do I create a link which leads to a certain section of a collection? Like this link for example: https://www.intercom.com/help/en/collections/2091449-sending-messages-and-building-smart-campaigns#sending-messages-with-intercom/p>

I would like to know how it is possible for me to create a link which leads a customer to a particular section in the collage. Would it be possible to get instructions on how to create such links? Thank you!

Note: The Helpcenter isn't published yet so the collections so called ID's is still unknown. By ID's I mean this: https://www.intercom.com/help/en/collections/2091449-sending-messages-and-building-smart-campaigns#sending-messages-with-intercom

Another question, how is that ID defined?

Yayy! I solved this by myself 😀 Here's instructions if someone else is wondering the same:

First: Helpcenter doesn't need to be published to see collections so called ID's. The ID of each collection can be checked from the workspace (Article-view) directly. Just navigate to Articles -> Help Center and click collection name -> the ID can be checked from the page URL.

The link which leads to some certain section in the collage contains following parts. I'll use https://www.intercom.com/help/en/collections/2091449-sending-messages-and-building-smart-campaigns#sending-messages-with-intercom as an example URL.

  1. Start with the help center URL / domain. You can check this from the Help Center Settings. In that example above the URL is https://www.intercom.com/help/
  2. After the URL add the language of the collection, for example en/
  3. Then add collections/collection ID-collection name#section name, like /collections/2091449-sending-messages-and-building-smart-campaigns#sending-messages-with-intercom. In that example "Sending messages and building smart campaigns" is the name of the collection and "Sending messages with intercom" is the section's name. Remember to use key - to separate the words.
  4. The URL which leads to certain section in the collection is now ready 🙂 If the helpcenter is already published you can easily check is the URL working

Nice job sorting this yourself, @sara t! Thanks so much for sharing the solution with the community so that others can learn from you 🙌

And regarding the link to a specific section of a collection here's the solution:

helpcenter-URL/collections/Collection-ID#Section-name

https://www.intercom.com/help/en/collections/2091449#sending-messages-with-intercom

Thanks @sara t . I didn't know this. My solution to it in the past was to publish, and then quickly unpublish so that I can get the ID 😬 Your way is cleaner!

Hey @kevin b @mohamed e11 @sara t - some great news! We've shipped this as an official feature of Articles! You can read more about it here.

That's great to know, @eric f11! Thank you for the update :)
