Curious if anyone has dealt with this issue. In the image below you can see that Tyson replied to a customer, however it’s showing the wrong contact image in Gmail. We have intercom set to send all responses from support@ourdomain.com. I’m assuming this is more of a Gmail issue than an Intercom issue, but I just want to figure out if there’s something I can do to prevent this from happening.

@Patrick H12 Very interesting issue, I haven’t seen this happen specifically but wonder if this is related to the image associated to your customer support email or what’s the source of the avatar do you think? Seems like it’s your picture here in the community so are you feeling the photo is associating to an earlier reply from your address?

I’d recommend checking the photo associated to the underlying address as it should definitely not be one of another user at all.

Also is this in your own email or in a customer’s email, it is possible that your Gmail account could have this image associated to the address and it may not show the same way for everyone, so it could be worth testing to see.

I’d be curious to hear what you find out, if you want some help troubleshooting happy to jump on a call to dig into it together as it may be something that impacts others as well if you are just noticing this now it may be something on the Google side causing the issue.

Definitely see why you would want to prevent this when it’s the wrong photo and it’s your face showing up next to a different name!
