Is there a way to always send an email notification?

I am needing a way to have the conversation transcript to always send when a conversation has either closed or has been left after a certain period of time. Is there a way to currently do this?

Hey @Ian McCain 👋 Jacques here from Support Engineering!

Currently, we do not offer the capability to automatically send out a chat transcript once a conversation is closed or after a period of inactivity. However, you can export the conversation manually.

If you're looking for an automated solution, it would require a custom solution using Intercom's API. More information on the API can be found here: Intercom API Documentation.

Hope this helps!

Intercom currently don’t have an option to auto-send chat transcripts after closing a conversation or inactivity. However, you can manually export the chat or set up an automated solution using Intercom's API. Check the Intercom API Documentation for details.

Yes, you can configure your system to always send email notifications by adjusting the notification settings in your platform or email client. Most platforms provide an option to enable email notifications for specific actions, like new messages, updates, or events. Ensure that the email notifications are not being filtered by spam rules or blocked by your email provider.

If you're setting this up for a team or organization, verify that all users have their email preferences configured to receive notifications. In case of issues, check the platform's support documentation or contact their support team. Including your phone number when reaching out can expedite the resolution process.
