Thanks for inviting me, Eric. I've been a member of the Intercom community for a while now, but I confess I don't come here since it's not top of mind! Will aim to make an effort to visit more often now, to see what I can learn from everyone here.

Eric asks us to introduce ourselves, so I thought I'd start by saying that we have been using Intercom for a LONG time now. Over 9 years, in fact - since 2013! And yes, I'm still at the same company after all that time 😊 We've been using Intercom primarily for user support through the website chat, which our customers love. Macros are wonderful to help with that! We also use emails for onboarding and conversion from webshop free trial, and we heavily use Articles for our help center. In January we set up Intercom on the website for our second product, where we're using email Sequences, Product Tours and Articles.

 

As for me, I work at a small edtech company which is great fun, hence I've been here so long. It was founded in New Zealand (where I'm based) and we spent several years growing our footprint in the U.S. where I used to live for 6 months every year, travelling around to different places every month (which was awesome!). We set up operations there in 2019, so we have a U.S. team as well now. I've had all sorts of roles here, and nowadays I look after Customer Success globally. We have two products: SIMTICS, a library of off-the-shelf online medical simulations, which was our original product, and SimTutor Author, a revolutionary app for rapidly creating and distributing online training, including simulations.

 

(SimTutor Author is REALLY cool, so if you ever need to create online training, please do check it out. It's so easy and fast to build modules! Apologies in advance for that shameless plug, lol!)

Nice to meet everyone here! I'm a tiny, one-person SaaS operation and have been using Resolution Bot for 2 years now to automate the only thing I haven't been able to automate: customer support - via "live chat" for very common questions.

 

I'd be interested in learning more about the Intercom marketing / email campaigns I know are available to me, but I simply have not taken the initiative to explore yet. If they can improve my conversion rates, I'm all ears.
