Is there a 3rd party tool out there that can help with this? (Intercom has an office hours feature, but I'm looking for something that sends out an actual reply in the conversation)

In the future you'll be able to do something like this, but not at the moment. You might be able to just start a bot with all new convos where the bot simply sends a message that gives an OOO reply. Not 100% sure that would work though. You'd have to dig in. I'll let you know when Bump can handle this use case.
