I feel like this probably exists somewhere, but have not been able to find it. Does anyone have a list of all of the emojis you can add to an article in Intercom?

Hey, @user1024 ,

I don't know of such a list, but personally I've been frustrated by the lack of consistency across platforms for emoji (MacOS, Slack, Intercom... for example) so I've done a couple of things that allow me to keep just one set in my poor little brain...

  1. In MacOS, I use the Settings>Keyboard>Text preferences setting to preset a series of words into emoji by using the same preset, so :eyes becomes 🙄 everywhere. UNFORTUNATELY, those don't carry over to Intercom, so...
  2. In MacOS, I use the fn key on my extended keyboard to pull up emojis and just select 'em there.

Harmonizing has been key to me. It also ensures that you're not limited to the subset of emojis in intercom... why only 👀  for :eyes? There's no :eyeroll as in Slack.

I've turned :eyeroll into 🙄 in MacOS.

I hope that's helpful. ⥐b

Emoji will be different based on OS and browser - that's not an Intercom issue, that's a general thing. If you use Google Chrome, you can right-click and select Emoji from the context menu. I use Firefox and I installed a browser add-on to help with emoji, it's simply called Emoji. A useful website for checking how emoji look on different platforms (and to copy them manually) is emojipedia.

I use a Mac and I use the fn key all the time. I prefer melanated emojis so when I make a mistake and I want to emote, 🤦🏾‍♀️, is better than the default version.
