I would like to be able to see only “new” messages from clients like a filter “read” and “unread”. Is it possible ?

Intercom doesn’t currently have a dedicated “new/unread only” filter in the inbox, but you can achieve something similar.

Here’s how:

  • In your Inbox, you’ll see blue dots next to unread conversations, those are your “new” messages.

  • You can also switch to the “Assigned to me” or “Unassigned” views to focus on new incoming chats that haven’t been handled yet.

  • Another option is to create a custom view using filters (like “Last reply from user” and “Status is open”), this gives you a quick list of the most recent or unread conversations.

Not exactly a single “unread only” button, but these filters can make it easy to track just the new messages that need your attention
