Can I embed a video in a link that starts at a particular timestamp?

I want to embed a video link so that the video starts at a particular time (half way through the video). The video is published on Vimeo, but when I try and add a timestamp to the embed code (e.g. #t=1m53s), Intercom strips it out. Is this not supported?

Hey @user1761! At the moment when you link the video, it will start from the start. A possible option is to trim the video, save it, and embed the new one. This is pretty much creating a new video. I know this is not an ideal option.

@user1761 I ran into a similar issue while embedding highlight reels for a sports blog. I wanted to start a football clip right at the goal moment, but Vimeo stripped out the timestamp too. Ended up trimming the video using a basic editor and re-uploading it — just like Aparna suggested. Not the most elegant solution, but it worked well for getting fans right to the action without wasting time.

Would be great if Vimeo or platforms like Intercom supported timestamped embedding directly. Especially for sports content where every second counts!
