Hello, is the ability to embed documents to articles possible? Is there a workaround, or is it possible to request it as a feature request?

It's not possible currently. Of course you can request this feature. There's the @Product Wishlist for those things. A workaround would be to upload the document somewhere else and link to it in your article. You can also use a button or export the document as a preview image and use that image as a link.
