I can't select the color picker in a cell (help article) | Community
Skip to main content

When I try to select the color picker, it doesn’t appear.

It was working since a week or two ago.

Also, sometimes the column doesn’t adjust properly after I delete one. In this example, it should adjust to be the whole page wide.

Hi Mathieu,

This looks like a recent editor glitch — a few users have reported the color picker and column resizing behaving inconsistently in Help Articles.

Try these quick fixes:

  1. Clear your browser cache and reload the article.

  2. Switch browsers (Chrome ↔️ Firefox) or try an incognito window to rule out extensions.

  3. If it still happens, report it directly via Intercom → “?” → Report a bug, so the product team can log it — it seems to be a temporary editor issue.

Hopefully Intercom rolls out a fix soon!

The process has changed from the support article (https://www.intercom.com/help/en/articles/56978-format-an-article).

Now, it seems you need to select the dot against the row you wish to change and select the color.

Not sure what you’d need to do to change the background color of one table cell.

Hey Mathieu! Sounds like you’re running into a small glitch — that happens occasionally after updates to the editor. Try doing a hard refresh of the page first (Ctrl + F5 on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) to reload all scripts. If that doesn’t bring the color picker back, clear your browser cache or open Constant Contact in an incognito/private window to test if it’s a cache or extension issue.

If you’re still stuck, check that your browser is up to date and that no ad-blockers or script blockers are interfering — those sometimes prevent the color picker from rendering.

For the column width issue, switching temporarily to a different layout and then back usually forces the editor to recalculate the spacing. If that doesn’t fix it, removing and re-adding the block should reset the width properly.

Hopefully Constant Contact pushes a small patch soon — this seems like one of those “quietly broken after update” things.
