Change default sender for my new conversations

When I create a new conversation to my client via Whatsapp in Intercom (logged in as myself), the default sender always loads as one of my colleagues so I have to change it every time. Is there any way to change the default sender to my own profile?

@Martyn Potts are you creating a new conversation FROM intercom? I believe you must have multiple WA numbers associated to your account if I refer to this page: https://www.intercom.com/help/en/articles/9881518-connect-multiple-whatsapp-business-numbers

I don’t think there is a way to send from one versus another by default. The first configured number is probably the default one unfortunately.

By default, Intercom usually auto-assigns the sender based on your workspace’s WhatsApp setup and routing rules. There isn’t a direct way to set yourself as the default sender for every new WhatsApp conversation. The best workaround is to check the inbox assignment rules or the WhatsApp channel settings in your workspace,  sometimes those determine who appears as the sender.

If you want it to always be you, the cleanest solution is to adjust those rules or ask Intercom support if they can set the default sender on that channel to your profile.
