Currently, we don’t support rich media like images in WhatsApp message templates. I agree that it would be a nice ability to have!
I’ll flag this as a feature request for our product to consider adding in the future!

Indeed, we are looking for another CRM platform which could insert rich media in WA message templates. But it would be perfect if we could just stick to intercom.

Our team takes a lot of factors into consideration before implementing new features or changes. Because of this I’m not able to provide a timeline on when or if such a change would occur.
