I’m trying to create a Zapier integration that syncs Intercom conversations to ClickUp tasks. We have the Intercom ClickUp integration set up such that we can link conversations to tasks just fine. The problem is that the Intercom API does not expose the ClickUp task ID or any other identifiers that could allow Zapier to see that Interom → ClickUp link.

Is there a workaround for this, and if not, is it possible for the API to be extended to provide access to the third-party integration’s conversation attributes?

This is a common limitation, Intercom’s API doesn’t currently expose third-party integration attributes like the ClickUp task ID, which is why Zapier can’t detect the link.

A workaround some teams use is creating a custom field or tag in Intercom when sending the task to ClickUp via Zapier, then pushing the ClickUp task ID back into Intercom as a note or attribute. That gives you a way to connect the two systems.

It would definitely be useful if the API exposed integration attributes directly, so I’d suggest raising this as a feature request with Intercom’s team.
