I wanted to check if it's possible to integrate Intercom into two different apps using the same workspace, while having separate FAQs for each. Is that supported, or would we need to create a separate workspace for each app?

Ok, if we wanted to with different workspace then we would have to just buy another subscription.
That’s correct. yes. If you’re on Essential it’s cheaper directly but more indirectly painful and inefficient to have two workspaces. If you're on Advanced, it’s cheaper, less painful and more efficient to upgrade to Expert and get multi-brand. If you’re already on Expert, you’re singing!
