iOS app is completely unusable -- cannot login

I downloaded your mobile app (iOS) and attempted to login using Google. It said my business email is not associated with any Intercom user, which is weird, because on my Mac I can login to Intercom with my Google account, no problem. So I read your help article and then follow your instructions to create a new password, but I am still unable to login to your iOS mobile app. I have no problems logging in to Intercom on my computer, so why doesn’t your mobile app recognize my credentials? It is utterly useless!

I figured out the problem: The VPN on my phone was blocking intercom.io. I allow-listed that domain, and then I could login to the app.

@Amy Helfman The biggest login error comes from not selecting the proper Data Hosting region. If you look in the top right of the login page in the app, it’s written Data hosting: United States. You can switch it to Australia or Europe. You won’t be able to log in on the United States one if your workspace is hosted on the European data center.

I’m in the United States. The Data Hosting region is set to United States. When I try to login, I get the error “Something went wrong with your login. Please try again.”

What other advice do you have?

Reach out to support from your computer (use the messenger widget itself from your Intercom). That’s odd. I manage to log in perfectly on my phone using google sign on so it’s probably something they can help you with.
