Our platform includes a large hotel inventory that expands on a daily basis.

Is there a way for Fin to receive a request for a certain hotel (e.g. Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown) to be added to our platform’s inventory, find that hotel’s information through a third-party search, and create that hotel profile inside our platform?

Fin can connect to external systems via Data connectors, allowing it to retrieve information from third-party sources and use that data to craft personalized answers for customers. You can connect any system with an API, including third-party platforms, to enable Fin to access and use external data in real time.

Setting up Data connectors involves configuring API calls, and while Fin can retrieve and present data, the ability to create or update records in your system would depend on the specific API actions you configure and expose to Fin.

In summary:

  • Fin can fetch hotel information from third-party APIs if configured.
  • Whether Fin can create hotel profiles in your platform depends on your API capabilities and how you set up the Data connector.
