I would love the ability to duplicate articles. We have features within our application that everyone has access to, but it’s a little bit different based on which product they have. I am going to create Help Center content that is geared toward audience rules, but it would save me a lot of time to be able to duplicate and then only change things that need to be changed based on the next audience type.

This feature is extremely important, and I'm surprised it’s not on Intercom’s planned roadmap! It would be very useful for creating articles based on existing ones. In our case, our product has many integrations with different third-party systems, and 90% of the content across these flows is the same. However, we need knowledge base articles that explain each integration in detail. It would save us hours if I could duplicate the original article and make some minor changes.

I agree here… I created a template for our articles to ensure they all follow the same structure and unfortunately wasn’t able to duplicate it.

Now I have to build an Article Creation Guide that covers what settings need to be enabled/disabled rather than just asking them to duplicate one that’s already setup the way we need it.

I agree this feature would be incredibly useful! We want to be able to make internal and external versions of our documentation, but it takes an infeasibly long time without starting from a duplication.

Chiming in - this should be table stakes and I’m shocked it’s not an option yet (used Intercom for 2 years now and manage our help center!).  You can’t even make a general “Template” to start from!  It takes a ridiculously long time to copy/paste these articles and not all colors/formatting/layout etc copies over so it’s a royal pain!

Prognos for APU Help

It is a shame that after 2 years this is still not part of the options. This is such a basic requirement and should be relatively simple to develop in a Sprint that it should have been implemented years ago. It saves the user tons of work to have a template that has the correct markup and only requires small tweaks to the content. Now I’m bound to open and close the template and the new article I have and copy-paste the content, title and subtitle. Please implement this relatively small feature for the community!
