We really miss the option to bulk export and import articles from the Intercom dashboard. Standard formats like csv, excel or pdf would be a huge upgrade to the current API only solution. 

It would be great if it was possible to export articles on multiple levels

  • select articles - export selected articles
  • collection - export all articles in a collection
  • entire customer-facing help center - export select help centers
  • select folders - export selected folders
  • entire knowledge base - export all content including autogenerated content, snippets, etc.

+1 to all of this. 

Would also like to even be able to just export a .csv file of the all articles table with my columns and filters applied, and ideally having a Created At date (logged here in the forum elsewhere) added.

    Would also love to be able to export articles based on a tag in the UI, especially since this isn’t available across the API either.

    I fully agree that this would be a valuable native feature — especially the ability to export by collection or folder for content audits and migrations.

    I’d suggest the following workarounds :

    • Articles API — GET /articles for export to JSON/CSV, and POST /articles for importing back, including collection and parent folder assignment.
    • Help Desk Migration — supports exporting and importing Intercom articles as part of a broader migration or a standalone KB transfer. That includes migrating article language versions and updating cross-links.
    • A simple CSV export of the articles table (even metadata-only) would still be a huge UX win — seconding Sophie's comment. Tag-based filtering in the export would be especially useful, too.
