Option to CC and BCC in outgoing emails in Intercom Email Editor.

@Jennifer K this is the most popular of the “Not planned yet” items on the forum. Just had a long conversation with support agents about it. Is the product team able to comment on the possibility of adding this fundamental feature of emails to the Intercom email?

This was the response from the Product Team here but they regularly look at the most popular voted feature requests and will update if they plan on adding it at any stage

Come on Intercom. Just add this feature already!

Updating to in beta but right now, the beta is only for being able to CC (BCC is coming soon!) 

To access the beta, you need to reach out to our support team in the Messenger however it won’t be a long wait for full release! 
 

The ability to cc in emails started from the Inbox has released today 🙌

​@Sigrid Jorgensen apologies my last message was incorrect so I deleted it. You can edit the cc field in existing email threads too! Just click on the participants in the composer here and the cc field will appear: 
 

BCC is coming but we don’t have a confirmed date this will be available yet. 

BCC is super needed to be able to comply with GDPR and email several people without disclosing their emails, can we have an update on this feature? 

No updates on BCC yet ​@Luis Carrasco , we will update here when it’s available and will also post it in the News tab of the Messenger. 

Please implement this feature. I just want to be able to cc or bcc an internal business email so that we have a single place to review all outgoing emails and verify they are actually being sent (outside of the Intercom interface)

+1 Would also love the ability to have a BCC email option to record emails to other tools that we are using.

For those using Hubspot, and who are wanting BCC functionality for recording communication into Hubspot, I ended up installing the integration/app to cover this: https://www.intercom.com/help/en/articles/2128216-hubspot-app

The integration isn’t perfect as it records Intercom messages as “Intercom conversation events”, and the message formatting is completely lost (there is no formatting). You can view these when under the Activity tab on a contact or company’s profile page in Hubspot. What an “Intercom conversation event” activity looks like in Hubspot:

Just another user sharing support for BCC. We use the outbound messages to send various weekly emails and other comms to clients. It’s just back and forth all of the time between Intercom and Attio for us. 

We were looking into Loops for email since we can just BCC the outbound messages (non-transactional emails), but I would love to make the most of the Intercom subscription we already have. 

My use case - currently Zapier/Relay/etc. don’t support an Outbound broadcast via webhook or trigger that I can tell. So if you send a mass email - no way to sync between systems. 

BCC for Outbound mails would be greatly appreciated.

I also need this so we can bcc: a group email address (internal) for an email in a specific series.
