It would be good to have the ability to schedule emails sent from the inbox to allow forward planning of adhoc outreach.

Hey ​@Katie Mayhew, when you say “from the inbox”, it sounds like that’s the key piece here, and you’re doing 1:1 outbound messages rather than, say, a message to a group of customers. Do you have an example of where you needed to do this recently?

For a group, you likely already know you can set the “Start sending” to a custom date and time when you’re sending outbound emails (this help page).

Yes, the “from the inbox” is the key part of my request.

To make sure we’re not overwhelming our customers with comms from various channels, it would be helpful if I could write a message to send to an individual contact but schedule it to be sent at a later date / time. It would also be helpful for if I would like 1:1 messages to be sent during customer’s working hours if they are in a different time zone.

Great. thanks for sharing that Katie! You probably already know this part, but assuming all of the comms are going via Intercom, you can use the “Last contacted at” filter to reduce the risk of overwhelming a user.
