To have great support, our support team has direct access to engineers to ask questions. We have set this up with side conversations in Zendesk so far. That worked really great: the support agent would create a side conversation to a specific team Slack channel asking the question, somebody from the engineering team would react in a thread which again would update the side conversation in Zendesk accordingly.

Intercom has side conversation which are fantastic, but that Slack integration is just really really missing for us.

What do you think of the topic? Others who’d love to see this in Intercom?

a Teams option would be nice as well


I want this as well. Either for the same use-case with engineering, or with certain stakeholders about other issues. We do a lot of internal work in Slack

Hi Paul! Will responses to the slack thread update in the side conversation view?

@Paul D is it possible to request that the side conversation not open the closed ticket. This is annoying for teammates what if any convo is happening in a side conversation the ticket remains open when the conversation with the client is completed. Also can we get a link in the slack channel that takes us to the side conversation in intercom that doesnt seem to happen currently
