Single Macro For Reply and Note?

I have a specific use case where, every time, I send a reply via a macro and then manually add a note to the conversation. The reply is telling the customer that everything is done except that they have to open an email we sent to them. The note that I leave after is just saying “Can close once customer does X.” Once they’ve completed the task, I close the chat with no further reply. It’s just a way for me to easily know that there’s no real further action required on these chats, and that I’m only keeping them open until the task is complete.

I know that I can make one macro that sends the reply and then create another macro that adds the note, but I'm wondering if there’s a way to do this with a single macro.

Hey @Brady Pulsipher 👋 Eden from the support engineer team here.

This isn’t possible at the moment, but this is a really cool idea. I can see how it would be helpful to have a Macro with a note “follow up” action. I’ll go ahead and add this to the Community idea exchange as a feedback! 👍

YES!

This is an enhancement to Snoozing as well. We try and document everything, including reasons for snoozes. And we try and put in things like “follow up X” or “Close on X if no reply”
So being able to create macro to do both message to customer and notation as well would be great.

How about adding variable “{Today}+2 “ so that when you put that in your macro it automatically sets your snooze :)

I want to second this!!! Especially since many of our macros have snoozes so then I have to send the macro, go to snoozed messages and leave a note or stop snoozing and do that manually as well. Would LOVE to automatically attach a note to follow a macro.

I also would like to also add to this request.  When selecting a certain ticket type would initiate the response macro and a required note macro with required troubleshooting information would be amazing!
