How to practice workflows and other options when unemployed? Is there a way to have a free sandbox account?

Hey folks,

I was laid off earlier this year.
I want to keep my Fin skills current, but I can’t find any information about a free sandbox account.

I see there is a 14 day trial, but I’d have to keep setting up a new workspace every two weeks and that doesn’t make much sense as I’d have to recreate everything from scratch.

Jobs are asking about my experience with Fin and it’s been months since I used it, so I’m really rusty. I also didn’t get a chance to fully explore the features like workflows at my last job as I was laid off shortly after we moved to Fin.

Any suggestions?

Hi @mollycase ! That’s great initiative :)
I hope you get a role soon.
A few options/advice here:

  1. Fin Academy (academy.fin.ai). Free self-paced courses covering Fin setup, training, testing, and deployment, plus free Support Agent and Support Manager certifications you can put on LinkedIn. You sign in via SSO with an Intercom account, but it doesn't need to be a paid one.
  2. Join Fin office hours. There are weekly live sessions with Intercom Community Top Experts, open Q&A on real problems. Register here. It’s a good way to stay sharp on what's actually changing and to get your name known in the community while you're at it.

If you also want hands-on config practice (not just courses), a free Intercom development workspace never expires and lets you build Workflows/Knowledge Hub/Fin training without ever starting a trial clock.

Hope this helps!
