Maximum File size allowed to be shared via Chats - Intercom Attachments

Hello all,

Could I ask, please, what is the maximum file size allowed for Attachments on the Chats in Intercom? It's important to know, as some file sizes may go up to 1GB in size that our clients may need to attach.

Thank you all in advance!

Hey @Andrei Froni,

For messenger (chat) uploads: 100 MB per file. No limit on number of files per message.

Incoming email (to Inbox): 20 MB total per email (including all attachments).

For files that are larger than 100 MB users could host the file (e.g., Drive/S3) and share a link instead.

Hello Dara,

Thank you for your reply. Could that limit be increased for ease of use, as within Salesforce, we used to have over 1GB limit - and that ties into the type/size of files we would need from our customers in certain scenarios. Additionally, I believe you can understand that some clients may not have the technical knowledge nor they may not use the Google Drive function - and about S3 that is something that I, myself, first am hearing of. Thank you in advance!

It is not currently possible to increases these limits. I recommend putting together a Macro for larger files explaining to your users how to upload it to Google Drive or Dropbox and then they can send you a link.
