I want to be able to check if making a change to content will improve Fin’s answer to a question without first having to publish it. Is there anyway to do this?

Hi,

One tip is to use unlisted public articles combined with a tester audience. Since Fin can't read "Draft" articles, you can publish your new content as "unlisted”, which keeps it hidden from search engines and your Help Center, and then set an Audience Rule so only your team can access it. You can then use the Fin Preview panel to ask questions and see exactly how the AI uses that new information before you officially go live for everyone. This little workaround gives you the "sandbox" you need to iterate safely and ensure your answers are spot-on every time.

Hi @Peter Nixon You could also use your test workspace as well although it wouldn’t be an exact copy of your main workspace set up.

Thanks both.

The test audience is probably the best option, but without being able to exclude audiences from an article, it doesn’t really fully solve the problem. It only works if creating a brand new article and not editing a current one, as even if I create a duplicate of a current one and edit the duplicate but then the old one will still be on at the same time - unless I disable the old one for Fin temporarily, which is an option but not ideal.

@Sean Meade Forum Support Lead Not sure a test workspace will work as it says the below in the article on it. Or does the test/preview function still work?

Fin's AI Answers are not supported in test workspaces which is primarily done because of billing concerns. In these workspaces, only Custom Answers can be enabled and used by Fin.
