Add "edit article" option to articles (for use by admins)

It’d be great if when I am viewing an Intercom article and I realize I need to update something, I had an option to edit the article directly from the article. (Just a link from the view article page to the edit article page I mean.)

It takes a few steps to go from viewing an article and realizing you need to make an edit to opening Intercom, going to articles, searching for the article, and opening it. 

Adding an “edit article” button of some sort that would only appear to admin users would save some time.

I can't vote this one up enough, it would be a huge win.  I was sure that this had been requested before so I'm glad to see it being discussed.

This would be amazing, especially as we move towards a KCS approach!! 💯


In WordPress, administrators can open an article and edit it directly from the page they are viewing, as long as they are signed in.

I would love to see a similar feature for users with knowledge base publishing permissions. An Edit Article link on the published article would allow authorized users to make updates without having to leave the page, return to the knowledge base, search for the article, and then open it for editing.

This would save time, reduce unnecessary navigation, and make it much easier to quickly correct or update content when an issue is spotted.
