Create new Slack messages from Intercom interface

​@Michelle Chiu have you tried using Side Conversations?  Apologies if I’m missing your point here.

If I’m not mistaken, Side Conversations have to be created in association with an existing convo. What I’m requesting is a brand new Slack conversation that my B2B agents need to start as an outreach to a client. 

​@Michelle Chiu Side Conversations will create a new Slack message/conversation thread in the chosen channel.  That sounds like exactly what you’re after.  You need to pre-configure which Slack channels can be used for Side Conversations from Settings > Channels > Slack and set the channel Purpose to “Conversation”.  You also need to add the Fin Slack bot/agent to those channels.

I do understand the need for the Side Conversations needing an existing conversation to attach to. For now, composing a new outbound conversation from the Inbox is only available for email and chat. Slack isn't an option there yet sadly, so Broadcasts are the only path for sending a net-new Slack message from Intercom. I of course can see how that's clunky for individual B2B outreach haha. 

I've made sure this is logged as a feature request with the product team so it gets visibility :)
