I understand that we can set up regular reports, but for more one off exports, where we know most of the preselected columns won’t be used, it would be good if we can save column settings instead of manually selecting and unselecting each column.

Dataset Export - preset columns
This is a primary problem when doing one off exporting of reports. Upvoted!
I will say to help fix this, we built data extracts using intercoms API exporting to export all data to our cloud services. The downside is the data is historical and this is where you’ll need one-offs to run same day exports.
Being able to save Report Filters has been a game changer, having a similar functionality in Dataset Exports would be very valuable. I am also hoping to add to this thread with another request, being able to manipulate existing scheduled datasets would be useful. At least extending the ability to save settings related to the columns displayed would be great, in case new data is needed to be added to a scheduled dataset.
