Hey everyone, during service downtimes where the team isn’t necessarily available (during night, for example), I’d love to be able to turn on a special notice, especially pulling in content for it, especially from 3rd party services.

For example - PayPal had an outage last night and we weren’t available to recognize or put a notice on that.

Maybe even giving FIN a ping that can update his answers to reflect that btw? 🤔

Hey @Noam Ben Harush Shani, welcome! I think you can probably accommodate this already, assuming you are using a status page product of some sort that supports this:

  1. Set up your status page product and connect your key third-party services (eg: PayPal) to show within your status page too
  2. Connect your status page product to Intercom (eg, for StatusPage)
  3. Fin will now use StatusPage as a content source to report back on any issues that it sees

If you’re using a status page that doesn’t support this directly, you may still be able to set this up by sourcing from your public status site as a website.

I hope that helps!

Thanks Conor!
We currently don’t use fin really, this was more of a suggestion on top - the special notice part is the one we care most about
