Fin 4 was announced at Pioneer 2026. Here's what's new for Fin customers.

On 7 October, Fin 4 launched with upgrades across the whole Fin system: the Customer Agent, Operator, Copilot and Human in the Loop, and the Apex models behind it all.

🤖 Customer Agent

  • Fin for Success. Fin can now start conversations itself to help customers onboard, reach their first win, use more of your product, re-engage when usage drops, and spot churn or expansion signals.
  • Skills. Procedures give you tight control over defined processes like refunds. Skills are for problems with no fixed path, like troubleshooting or investigations. Each Skill has triggers (when Fin should use it), tools (what Fin can do in your systems) and instructions (guidelines and guardrails).

🧭 Operator

  • Routines: ongoing work on a schedule or triggered by an event, such as a weekly team performance report or an incident alert with a diagnosis.
  • Connections: Operator can use information from tools like Slack and GitHub, for example drafting Fin changes from product announcements or filing bug reports.
  • Memory for your preferences and Artifacts for sharing Operator's work (like a drafted Procedure) with teammates to review.

🤝 Copilot and Human in the Loop

  • Human in the Loop: Fin can loop in a teammate to approve, edit or take over, with confidence-score controls for when it needs sign-off.
  • Copilot, second generation: when a teammate opens a conversation, Copilot has already searched connected tools, summarized the issue, drafted a reply and suggested next actions.

⚡ Apex models

  • Apex 2.0: more hard resolutions and 16.5% fewer hallucinations than Apex 1.0.
  • Apex Flash 2.0: now powers Fin Voice, with faster and shorter answers suited to phone calls.
  • Apex for Procedures: a new model for complex, multi-step queries, reported as giving 15% more hard resolutions and 37% fewer major hallucinations than the best frontier model Fin tested.
