I want to add an app like google calendar which must show an icon in reply area in inbox (Where emoji option is shown). Our need is more than what google calendar app does.

I am new to intercom,, feeling hard to find right examples for it. Could anyone help me out to proceed with it ?

@rajabdeen  if you click on the third icon from the right you can add an app to your message.

Yes, that i know, but im trying to create develop an app (which is not yet published), but i must be able to add that in that area, it has to show options (team mates, slots) like google calendar.

For example, https://developers.intercom.com/building-apps/docs/build-an-app-for-your-inboxshows an example to add it right panel area (check the image). But i wanted to add it reply area.

Thanks for the reply, Please check my comment, that's not what i wanted.

Hey @rajabdeen!

Just so I understand correctly, you're looking to build your own scheduling app and, once you've done this, you want the app to show as an option in the reply composer in Inbox?

yes..@eric f11  do we have any examples. Since the tutorials which are listed in https://developers.intercom.com/building-apps/docs/canvas-kit are not related to that behavior.

If im not mistaken, Its not even mentioned how to create such a popup?rr

The apps which show in the Inbox reply composer aren't determined by a setting, or manually applied. These automatically populate based on the two most commonly used/shared apps within your team.

So, for example, if you create your own scheduling app, and you and your teammates frequently share this app with customers, it will show as one of your two "suggested apps" in the Inbox reply composer.

rr@eric f11 ok thats clear, how to show such a popup while clicking the icon of the app? If i use "Inbox - Insert into conversations with customers", its added to conversation area.. how can i show a popup ?

We use Calendly (which is a paid service) but solves our needs for sharing Calendars across many use cases - we did not have engineering time to build our own so this was the quickest option for us.

Hey @rajabdeen 👋

  1. You should read more about the https://developers.intercom.com/building-apps/docs/canvas-kit#section-configure-optional"alt="http://https://developers.intercom.com/building-apps/docs/canvas-kit#section-configure-optional"target="_blank">Configure flow in order to set this popup/configuration flow. We have https://glitch.com/edit/#!/messenger-app-full-flow"alt="http://https://glitch.com/edit/#!/messenger-app-full-flow"target="_blank">very basic example code here on Glitch that you can also use to see all flows in action.
  2. As Eric says, the two apps shown directly in the reply section there will be the most commonly used apps. When you use your app regularly, it will start to show. To do so, you need to insert the app from the App Inserter (which is the squares and plus symbol next to those two apps).

Thanks Zach. u r the only got it, what i wanted.
