I'd like to know if there's a way to set up a few shortcuts similar to the "Hi, name. How are you?" which applies when hitting Tab, at the beginning of every conversation.

Yes, but it won't be available when using tab. You can make a macro and use this shortcut:

Thank you, that's what I thought, buy I didn't want to flood our macros with conversational shortcuts, since we're using them for special ocasions, such as closing a conversation in which we didn't get a reply, bug reports, etc.

We'll make it work.
