Any activity you do in the community, will help you earn points. Providing answers marked as best by the Intercom Team helps you earn the most points.

You earn points each time you do the following activities:

  • Provide a forum answer
  • Post a reply
  • Receive a like or vote
  • Give a like a vote
  • Create a topic

To start earning points check out the latest questions , active discussions since last visit and  group conversations.

You can also use one of the following options:

Select “Help Others” directly in the forum overview.
 




  Follow the topics you know best. Just click on any product category you're knowledgeable about and hit the “Follow” button to get notified whenever someone posts a question in that area:

 

 


 

As an active user, you’ll be tagged in various conversations by the Intercom team, particularly when you reach the Top Expert level. This includes discussions where customers are looking to hire an Expert User or Intercom Specialist. You’ll receive email notifications for these tags.

For forum conversations you’re involved in, you’ll get both email notifications and alerts through the notification bell in the community.

Note: The notification bell is currently in beta and will be available to all users soon.
