Hi, I have a user who is unable to see the “Start Conversation” (in our case “Send us a message”) button I have read this article and checked our settings and have confirmed they are all what they should be. We are not using assignment capacity. I have also been unable to reproduce the problem on the same device/browser as the user or any other combination. We have tried clearing their browser cache, and logging in/out of or application (to re-initialize the Intercom connection) The problem is on an iPhone SE using Safari, but using a simulator I was unable to reproduce the issue. One thing I find odd is that I also don’t see the button in question in the preview editor (for either users or visitors) but am not sure if this is a red herring. are there more troubleshooting steps I can do or do you see something obvious that I am missing?
I’m getting an error when I try to send an email to a new user, even though I have already verified my domain address and obtained the send email permission. Can I get some help on this? Thank you!
Hi everyone! I’m a Knowledge Manager at Multiverse and looking for ideas for how to improve the UX of our help-centre and article sentiment.I’d love to see some examples of help-centre landing pages from other companies and if anyone has any tips for improving UX.Separately, does anyone use any sentiment data other than article reactions to gauge the overall experience of the knowledge base? We have an extremely low article reaction rate (approximately 1%) and often when I investigate the conversations of those who reacted with a sad face to ‘Did this answer your question’, I find they have got in touch with a request or issue that could not have been answered by the article (they needed an agent to perform an action or fix something), so I'm not finding this is giving the best insight into how the knowledge base can be improved.Would be grateful to hear from anyone who is navigating similar experiences :)
I experience the console message [Intercom] Launcher is disabled in settings or current page does not match display conditions, but I have hidden the default launcher as I have implemented my own launcher. I would not expect to see the console message in this case, but it does appear.These are my settings below, am I missing something?window.intercomSettings = { api_base: "https://api-iam.intercom.io", app_id: "<my app id>", hide_default_launcher: true, // Hides the default Intercom icon vertical_padding: 60 };
We recently moved to 24/7 support and have several agents with 3 or 4 days between their shifts. One of our SOPs is that a thank-you convo from a user will be assigned to the agent who helped, so they can get the CSAT survey. We now have convos sitting for multiple days in an agents inbox waiting for them to return to work, dragging their subsequent response time down. We can snooze them, but customizing the snooze time to everyone’s schedule is more clicks than we want to deal with.Is there any way (via workflow or any other option) to “snooze until agent is active again”? This would solve so many problems for us!
HelloI’m having trouble with Intercom’s Product Tours feature. I’ve set up a tour that’s supposed to trigger for new users upon their first login. However; the tour isn’t starting automatically as expected.🙁I’ve confirmed that the tour is set to trigger for new users (those who’ve signed up within the past 1 day). I’ve set the trigger based on a custom event that records a user’s first login. I’ve double-checked that the tour is published and not in draft mode. Tested across different browsers to ensure it’s not a compatibility issue. Ensured that the users meet all the criteria for the tour to start. I have checked https://community.intercom.com/getting-started-with-intercom-43/what-to-do-when-product-tour-is-not-firing-troubleshooting-guide-6899-splunk reference guide but still need help. Despite these efforts; the tour isn’t triggering. Could this be related to a delay in event tracking; or is there something else I might be missing? Has anyone experienced similar issues; and what
I’m trying to tag users who visit some of my pages, so I can send them targeted communication and let agents know about it. Is there a way to tag users who have previously visited a page? I see how I can tag new visitors. Can I tag past visitors? The user segmentation filters don’t include page viewed.
Hello! We @ the team members who need to be notified when we create a ticket by using their Slack handle, and the ticket then populates in Slack. I’ve noticed, however, that the slack handle doesn’t populate most of the time, and there seems to be little rhyme or reason as to why. First I thought it was preferring single usernames, like @megan, because I was seeing those go through, but then when I tagged an on-call person recently, @eng-on-call, it populated as well without issue.Does anyone know how to fix this so it appropriately notifies the person?
I am trying to see if it’s possible to do an automated email for those who: Just subscribed Have been inactive for 10 days I was going through the list of options on Intercom and wasn’t able to figure out where to go for that.
Currently, when I'm in a conversation in Intercom, I have to manually click the "Send" button to send my messages. I would like to send messages simply by pressing the "Enter" key. Is there a way to change this setting so I can use "Enter" to send the chat? It would make the process much quicker and more efficient for me.
I want to export Contacts including custom attributes and events in the CSV file.
We're facing a common issue with our in-app bug reporting system, and I'm hoping the community can help brainstorm a solution. The problem: 90% of users submit bug reports without providing crucial details Our standard form includes fields for: Steps to reproduce Actual results Expected results Most submissions have these fields emptyI need a way to automatically detect and follow up on these empty submissions. Specifically, I’m exploring:How to set up a workflow that reads the body of the email How to detect the absence of details in key fields How to trigger an automatic response requesting more informationHere's what a typical empy bug report email looks like: Subject: Bug: Critical: User provided subjectEmail Body:User: {{user_email}}Build number: BE 5.0.0 / FE 5.2.99Date/Time: 19/09/2024 12:02:10 PMPriority: CriticalSteps to reproduce: Actual result: Expected result: Is it possible to create a trigger based on the absence of details under "Steps to reproduce," "Actual result," a
Hi, while trying to configure product tour on our test website I am getting this error.I am not sure what is causing this. I am hopping to get some help. This is a NextJs application.
In Conversation Topics, how should I expect the "Keywords and phrases to track" feature to work? Phrases, in particular, don't appear to work as described. I've found that if a phrase is added to this field, it will reliably include results that only feature one word within a phrase, rather than the whole phrase. In my attached screenshot you can see two phrases in the field "Home page" and "to do list". The volume of conversation results increased by an order of magnitude when I added "to do list" because it seems to include any conversation with the word "list." According to the Help Center article, I'm under the impression it should only include conversations in which the words "to", "do", and "list" are all within three words of one another. Am I misapprehending how the Keywords and phrases feature works, or is this not working as expected?
Good evening, community, it’s night here in Brazil.Maybe someone can help me, here’s the situation:I have an initial support bot that asks the customer 3 mandatory questions. If the customer doesn’t answer them, they won’t be directed to an agent. However, we have many cases where customers abandon the bot and don’t respond to the questions. In these cases, the chat stays idle for hours, and I couldn’t find an option in the trigger conditions to set up automatic closure when the customer remains inactive while still in the bot.Does anyone know how to configure this?
Hi thereWe have chats set to auto-close after 15 minutes of the visitor being unresponsive. However, visitors will often chat back in and when they do the chat gets put in the Unassigned queue. This leads to some issues because we have members of other teams accidentally grabbing that chat thinking it is for them. We want to ensure that if the visitor chats back in that it gets re-assigned to the same team it was previously assigned to. Can anyone help with this?
I’m having a problem where intercom will automatically assign tickets to a team but not assign them to anyone within the team. This results in the team missing tickets because they aren’t assigned to anyone. I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered a problem like this and if so, how they fixed it. Right now I’m trying to solve this issue by setting an arbitrarily high workspace ticket limit, setting the team ticket type to balanced, and then setting to 0 the ticket limit for team members that should only receive ticket assignments manually. If anyone has any ideas for what to do here, I’d appreciate the help
When I select to ‘Edit Latest’ on a published article, the page opens to a blank page with just the title of the article available. The published article is visible, and unpublishing then attempting to edit still gives a blank page. Anyone run into this and have a solve? TIA
Hi is it possible to create a macro to resolve a ticket and leave a message. I can do the leave a message part but i cant seem to find an option to set a ticket to resolved.I have an automation that closes a ticket when it has been resolved so the close option is no good. It has to be resolved as this ends the sla too.
I want to set an event on my site. So when the customer click on it, there will be an automated message sent from the customer to our chat box and we will collect their data as lead from then. I tried setting the series with rules but it seems that those are my actions, not the lead (customer). Is there any workaround?
I can’t seem to figure this out. I can create view to see tickets or conversations that are not currently snoozed or closed. However, we are trying to create baseline reporting and would like to report on the number of non-closed tickets or conversations ie the snoozing doesn’t matter for this particular report. The views don’t give me that and I can’t work out the appropriate metric on the reports. Any ideas?
Is it possible to set hotkeys for the likes of resolving or closing a ticket?
What tools or apps are you using to analyze Intercom ticket data?I'm used to ZenDesk reporting and am finding reporting in Intercom really lacking or else I just don't know how to use it.For example, I'd love to get a report on tags. In Zendesk, I could select multiple tags and then select a date range and various ways of displaying data - bar, line, etc.I was also able to set up tags with a prefix like Login: and then have sub tags like Login: email typo, Login: password reset loop, etc. I could make a report that could show all Login issues by only selecting the top tag so I could compare against other top-level issue like Refunds, Acct Management, etc.Or I could make a report where I could select all the Login tags and see a report about the frequency of each one, all one report. In Intercom, the tag reporting doesn't allow this. You can only view a report on one tag at a time. If you choose multiple tags, the only option is AND, not OR.Thanks for any help!
Hi Team,I am Darshan Hiranandani, have two different tickets that address essentially the same issue, and I would like to merge them into one. I’m wondering if the feature to merge tickets has been developed or if it’s planned for future updates. If anyone has insights or updates on this, I’d appreciate your suggestions or ideas on how to handle this situation in the meantime.Thank you!Best,Darshan Hiranandani
Hey there,It appears that for, Google Ads only where we have auto-tagging, our utm_source/campaing & medium are not being filled resulting in null values being very high for conversion source. My theory is that this is because it is hashed into the GCLID.How can we ensure that the correct source and campaigns are being sent to Intercom? Thanks!Sam
